Save Money on Kids at Restaurants: Denny's Kids' Night and Lone Star Steakhouse
By Vicki McClure Davidson
During our economic hard times, many of us have taken do-it-yourself (DIY) to heart, and have cut out many non-essentials, including eating out in restaurants. Much more home cooking is going on in American kitchens these days, which is a GOOD thing.
But, once in a while, you may want to splurge a bit and treat the whole family or just a few of the kids to an inexpensive breakfast, lunch, or dinner outside your home.
Here's information on several ways you can defray costs when eating out. We'll add more family-friendly restaurant offers as we discover them.
The offers shown below were in place June 2010, and are subject to change.
Denny's offers a Free Kids' Night on Tuesdays, and in some locations, free on Saturday. This applies to children age 10 and under. Go to the Denny's website for details.
Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon has a terrific freebie for kids as well. The promotion offers "Two Kids Eat Free Off of the Kid´s Menu with the Purchase of Any Entrée. All Day Tuesday!!!" The Lone Star website gives the details about its freebie promotion in its Kids Zone section.
