99-Cent Only Store Gumption & Imagination... Delicious, Cheap Meals

I've been shopping at the dollar/99-cent stores for quite a while. One night, I was looking through YouTube video clips, and stumbled upon other non-culinary-professional people, like you and me, who also embrace the stores' frugality. Here are a few video clips of imaginative ways to use food bargains in home-style recipes. We wanted to share these ideas with you so that you can use them as a springboard for your own imaginative and inexpensive gastronomical creations.
The last video is a brief business analysis and history of the 99-Cent Only stores, conducted by Pat Dorsey with Morningstar, that we thought you'd find interesting. It covers how the discounter chain initially failed in its expansion in Texas, how it was revamped to a "treasure hunt" concept, and how it grew to be the retail giant it is today. This video summary was produced in August 2007, so the projected stock prices obviously no longer apply.
