Chefs' Cooking Secrets | Midwestern-Style Beer Bratwursts, with Paula Deen | Video
Food Network's Paula Deen and her son Jamie Deen cook up a simple-to-make batch of Midwestern-style bratwursts in beer with red bell peppers and onions. Paula Deen, owner of Lady and Sons, a famous Savannah restaurant, is Food Network's resident Southern chef. Deen is famous for making delicious food that's both uncomplicated, inexpensive, and comforting.
Ingredients:
- Small amount of cooking oil
- 2 lg. onions, sliced
- 2 lg. red bell peppers, sliced
- 6 bratwurst sausages
- 6 bottles (cups) lager beer
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Mustard and buns for serving with the brats (optional)
