When times get tough, the tough cut back on expenses. Most Americans, frugal or not, know that if you earn a dollar, you cannot spend two dollars. They know that you cannot spend more than you bring in without dire consequences.
As an equation, it looks something like this: Cash in = less cash out.
It’s simple math that eludes Congress and its bumbling, overreaching ’wish list’ of a stimulus package that will cost upwards of 1 trillion dollars. A TRILLION dollars, which America does not have to spend.
According to a Rasmussen poll released this week, when it comes to the nation’s economic issues, 67% of U.S. voters have more confidence in their own judgment than they do in the average member of Congress. Forty-four percent (44%) of voters also think a group of people selected at random from the phone book would do a better job addressing the nation’s problems than the current Congress.
