Just in from Politico:

Politico Announcement: Big St. Patrick's Day Party Tomorrow at White House
How do we know it will be a humongous bash? Pul-eeeeze… when is it NOT a big bash at Party-Boy Obama’s White House? And, wow, if it’s a LEGITIMATE day to party-hearty on a week night and get to spend oodles of taxpayers’ money on Irish nosh-stuff and green beer (just ask any Irishman or Irishwoman what HE or SHE plan to do on St. Paddy’s Day, and it likely includes inebriation-related plans), then you KNOW the stouts and ales and whiskeys of all Gaelic persuasions should be a-flowin’ and the hand-massaged $100-a-pound Japanese wagyu steaks (served with delectable imported Irish cabbage, maybe, and authentic Irish potatoes?) will be plentiful and massaged to perfection for the A-list guests. If the guests don’t wear green, will little Sasha and Malia get to pinch them? Just wondering…
Apparently, Irish lawmakers and Irish entertainers are included on the coveted guest list. Irish entertainers, eh? Like, maybe the very Irish, very entertaining conservative talk show host Sean Hannity??? (cough, cough — yeah, right). Obama recently said that he doubted that Sean would ever want to share a beer with him. I don’t believe that — I’ll bet Sean would share a beer with our POTUS (who just happens to be 1/32 Irish, or something like that, per an article I momentarily glanced at last month). That is, if Sean were actually invited to the St. Patrick’s Day fest, which I doubt he was. Ironically, Obama will also be involved with some kind of “budgetary” event tomorrow… as in, how much more budget money can he blazin’ burn through? This isn’t clear, but we’ll know more tomorrow.
Wonder which Irish entertainers WILL be invited to the Irish soiree? We’ll find out how the “Wearin’ of the Green” party fares and any other conspicuous consumption details that may be divulged… important for you to know, since you’re paying for it.
