Remember how Frugal Café covered Pres. Barack Obama’s ridiculous teleprompter blunder on St. Patrick’s Day? That bone-headed gaffe when Obama publicly thanked HIMSELF for being such a gracious host, having the Irish Prime Minister and guests come to his White House St. Patty’s Day party? He didn’t realize for several sentences that he was on auto-robot mode and was reading the speech intended for the Irish PM. If you didn’t read about it, click here: “Ireland Forever! Well, that was two days ago.

So, where’s the video of this Obama blunder? Surely there must be at least an audio file of the botched speech, but where is it? I’ve searched off and on since a few UK online news sources reported it. Can’t find it, not even on YouTube. Granted, I haven’t spent much time searching, but it seems strange that the gaffe, as hilarious as it is, is nowhere on the Internet.

During today’s EIB radio show, Rush Limbaugh, the bane of the White House and the man with more research tools available through waving his pinky finger than all conservative bloggers’ blood, sweat, and tears combined, asked the very same question. Where’s the video?

If Rush’s excellent staff can’t find the blunder video or audio, it’s not out there. Which raises the question, why not? And why hasn’t this even been mentioned on the news? The British press has been having a heyday reporting it and other Obama missteps… but not a single peep is uttered on American television or in any US newspapers that haven’t (yet) gone belly-up.

If George W. Bush, Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal, Newt Gingrich, John McCain, Jim DeMint, Michael Steele, or any other Republican had made such a stupid, STUPID mistake, guaranteed it would not only be plastered all over the ‘net, but aired umpteen times on all major network news stations. It would be the subject of howling ridicule on all late-night talk shows; the shrill, liberal women on The View would want blood, lots of blood.

Also, where is the video of Obama trying to push open a window he thought was a door and the video where he bumped his head in the doorway of a helicopter? Can’t find those, either. But there ARE photos of these embarrassing things happening to him. How many “head bumping” videos have we seen over the years of former Pres. Gerald Ford and Bush? Seems that lampooning Republican leaders in the media is standard operating procedure, lampooning Democrat leaders is forbidden. Ah, those stuffy and stodgy Dem leaders… no sense of humor whatsoever, eh?
