New bestseller: Mark Levin's Book 'Liberty and Tyranny, A Conservative Manifesto'

Mark Levin is a constitutional lawyer, a conservative (as well as passionate and controversial) radio talk show host, and author. This latest book of his is flying off the shelves across America. At a small book signing he and his good friend, radio talk show host Sean Hannity, attended a few days ago in New York, 6,000 people attended. People stood in line for hours. Everyone was polite, even when they ran out of books. One man drove all the way from Georgia to stand in line in New York. “The Great One’s” revolutionary book has broken first-week sales records on Amazon.com during this, its first week of release.

Mark’s book is a must-read for all who are in shock about what this liberal, reckless administration in the Age of Obama is doing. The trampling upon and violation of our Constitution. The unraveling of and beginning of the destruction of the individual and our nation’s free market and principles of capitalism. The unprecedented growth of the US government and the cancer-like expansion of welfare programs and taxation, taxation, and more taxation. The conservative principles that have motivated America’s citizens and inspired them to achieve greatness for two centuries. All the things that made us unique as a citizenry, as a young, vibrant nation—a nation that is seen by millions in the world as “the last hope.” If we lose America, there is nowhere else to turn. If we lose America, we lose everything that our founding fathers belabored over and American patriots fought and died to create and preserve. A nation that was built on frugality, hard work, honor, passion, courage, and God-given rights to its citizens.

America is hurting, America’s very foundation and freedoms are in grave danger. And Mark’s book tells us how we got here and how we can stop it.

On today’s radio show, he read aloud parts of the book, and I took a few random notes while listening. The following quotes are by no means exact or complete in what he read, but they embody the consistent messages in his book. From Mark’s reading of the book over the radio:

I’m in no damned mood to surrender to these people.

Even though they are in the ascendancy, we can stop them.

We need to rally. We need to rally the people in this country who are still sleeping, and wake them up. Tell them they love this country just as much as we do. They can’t sit back and let America be remade.

When was the last time the media journalists talked about how great this country is? When was the last time they exposed the phony, crap science behind global warming and DDT, or the crippling CAFE standards placed on the automobile industry?

WE CAN DO THIS.

Out of circumstances like these, there comes opportunity, if we pursue the right course.

We need to be smarter in how we articulate our principles. These principles will determine if we live free or become slaves. Our principles of conservatism made this nation great and we must learn to articulate them so that for those who don’t understand, will understand.

The future will determine if the government gets into your home, your car, your lifestyle, or if we can reverse the trend.

We are in an epic battle for our country.
