The mainstream media chose to ignore it and decided to investigate and dig up any crumb of dirt they could on Sarah Palin instead. The lack of knowledge we had at the time about Obama's past is stunning. I read a lot on other blogs about it, so this is not news to me. But for millions of people, this is the first time they ever heard about it. The media is very much to blame for this connection not being made known to Americans.
