Two More Days ‘Til Tea Parties! All Shapes, Sizes, Colors, Religions of Outraged American Taxpayers Are Welcome

Only two more days until taypaying citizens’ tax protest tea parties will launch across the country. The liberal media and liberals in general are already attacking them, although most have not yet happened… some amazing crystal-ball forecasting going on there!

Political commentator Michelle Malkin has a post citing that Geraldo Rivera is lambasting these tea parties because “there’s never anyone of color at them.” How many have you attended, Geraldo? Since the vast majority of these events are being held two days from now, your crystal ball must be better than other liberal MSM folks. Thumbs up on that “seeing into the future” talent you’ve got! I remember back to a time when Geraldo Rivera was considered a journalist and not a race-baiting hack.

I’ll be attending the tea party in downtown Phoenix. My college-age daughter and her best male buddy will be coming with me. He’s a 20-year-old conservative Hispanic… for a protest tea party, is that considered “of color” or “kinda white” to you, Geraldo? Is “of color” reserved only for liberals or Democrats?

And good grief, why does it even MATTER to you what color are the people at the protests? Are you so obsessed to bash anything that is conservative or critical of this spendthrift-crazed White House administration that you grabbed at something so transparent, and frankly, undocumented? Just make up something (if the race slam doesn’t work, pick something else out of thin air, like there are no Jews or gays or midgets in attendance). Does the lack of or abundance of a certain color of skin in attendance increase or decrease an event’s validity to all liberal journalists? Marginalize and mock whenever possible, eh?

Sad, really, because you’ve missed the entire point of the tea parties, Geraldo. There was once a time you cheered on the American public and acted like you were one of the common people. When you actually made an effort to seem objective.

Why doesn’t this intrigue you? Doesn’t the reason, the grass roots origins of this protest, Geraldo, matter just a teensy bit more than a head count of minorities? Isn’t there anything here for you to admire, to give you a bit of a smile about the gumption of the American people, the average person of any religion, any gender, any color, any shape or size, who works and pays taxes and loves this jewel of a country? Those common folks who are sick and tired of Washington elitists taking our tax dollars and wasting them on earmarks and pork barrel spending like spoiled little kids? Be respectful and maybe be supportive of so many Americans who love their country and are taking legal, active steps to let the politicians in Washington hear their voices and know that they are not representing the majority as far as government entitlements and welfare, trillion-dollar-pork bills, open borders, and expanded government? I know several Democrats who are going to attend tea parties in their states. So this nationwide effort that you mock is becoming more and more bi-partisan.

You just HAD to bring up the color of people’s skin, Geraldo?

I really thought we had gotten past race and judgment in this country… unless you’re a zealous Democrat official, a liberal radical, or a pitiable fading-into-the-sunset journalist who is desperate to still be considered cutting edge and relevant, I guess. Mock away, Geraldo.
