We The People… Let the Tax Revolt Begin

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Inspiring words for all Americans. Tea Party Tax Protest Day is here, and with this small step by so many Americans, the wheels will start in motion to let our government officials, no matter if they are Republican or Democrat, that taxpayers are angry and non-supportive of raising taxes to fund bailouts and thousands of pet projects. One voice, one event will not change Washington, but with millions in unison, it will set the wheels of change in motion.
How many elected officials have publicly denounced the Orwellian, and un-American, document coming out of our Homeland Security department? Has any elected official taken the Obama administration REALLY to task about this trillion-dollar monstrosity of a bill for entitlements, taxing the successful so as to fund the free loaders? Yes, I know George Bush spent a lot (I’m tired of hearing that from liberals as their ONLY argument against us for criticizing Obama and Congress for spending more than all presidents combined have spent in all of American history… oh, wait, forgot about the “racist” rant. So, there’s two). This administration makes Bush look like a rank amateur in the spending department, a latter-day Ebenezer Scrooge. But that is not the point.
Washington just doesn’t get it. And today, maybe they, who have been elected to serve us, may start to get a glimmer of understanding.
Liberals and liberal media don’t get it. This isn’t about Republicans or Democrats or Libertarians or Progressives, whose guy “won,” being upset about losing an election. It’s about America and the horrific taxation of her citizens. It’s about padding pockets, taking from the achievers to bolster the non-achievers. It’s about eliminating elitist government. It’s about upholding the US Constitution. It’s about liberty, about freedom.
Michelle Malkin wrote: “Clueless leftists and lazy MSM journalists can scream about the partisan nature of the Tea Party movement until they are blue in the face. Too bad. They’re missing an important story.”
No elected officials will be guest speakers at the tea parties. No TV station or community organization is funding these tea parties. Liberals are mocking and attacking this effort, but that’s OK. Freedom is for all Americans, and they will benefit from any positive results of these protests spearheaded today by thousands, perhaps millions, of our nation’s troubled and angry citizens. The protest efforts of American patriots in Boston Harbor in 1773 during our nation’s early years serve as a reminder of what makes our nation so great. It’s the people and it’s the rights and principles that our founding fathers were certain to guarantee the people in the Constitution.
We the people…
This is my only post for today. I’m off to be a part of a grassroots movement, participate in my first protest as an American citizen. To be part of the machine of change in our government. I love America, and today, I’m hoping to help protect her and all that she stands for.
Have a great time at the tea party of your state today, dear patriots. And don’t let the predicted liberal crashers distract you or get you down. Just be observant, much like you would be if you were walking in a strange neighborhood. Smell the flowers, enjoy the sun on your skin, but keep alert to protecting your back. Bring a friend or two with you as an added precaution (more fun that way, too). Bring a camera and take lots of pictures, proof that the tea party event happened so that the MSM can’t deny it (but they will, anyway). Let the tax revolt begin…
God bless America!
