I’ve come to the mind that there are few coincidences coming out of Washington these days. The unclassified Department of Homeland Security report that was issued a few days ago eerily preceded the nationwide tax day tea party protests.

Hmm… a report that supposedly was drafted a YEAR ago by the Bush administration, lacks in any kind of concrete evidence, credible study, or authoritative citation, and proclaims we need to fear military veterans, Christian grandmas at Pro Life meetings, most conservatives, and well, anyone who had the effrontery to attend a protest tea party yesterday… was its release a coincidence or a calculated plant in the media to marginalize conservatives?

Because, you see, criticizing anything the federal government does is now deemed a key offense committed by right-wing radical extremists, as stated several times in the DHS report. And so, Homeland Security has asserted that the unsavory group of millions and millions of Bible-reading, anti-abortion, law-abiding, military-retired, patriotic Americans who are critical of Barack Obama are all potential terrorists.

One and only one religion is mentioned in the report as being that of the greatest concern to Homeland Security: Christianity. Not Muslim, no mention of Islam, no other religion is targeted in the text. Go online and open the DHS report (PDF format) and do a search in it yourself. The report, titled Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment, is available online (PDF format) on the Liberty Papers website. Homeland Security deputies are quivering about the potential mayhem brought about by those heinous Christians. No liberal terrorist groups are mentioned. Nothing that is linked to the Democrat party is listed. ACORN and the thuggery of other community organizations are not included. Yes, the report’s title has the term “rightwing” in it, so that’s why all left-wing liberal terrorists aren’t included… good grief, does DHS think we’re that stupid?

Hmmm… how many other badly written, accusatory “Bush documents” has this Obama administration released?

Zero.

Could I be wrong?

Doubt it.

Please let me know if I am, though. I want to be fair and balanced.

But as I said, I believe there are no longer coincidences coming out of DC. And the release of this crap document just before the grassroots tea parties is not only suspicious, but I believe was calculated.

The outrage is loud about this garbage. As it should be.

DHS “Czarina” Janet Napolitano has been tap-dancing with a nervous lopsided smile ever since.

There are no coincidences. This one backfired in Janet’s face.

It is a disgrace and an abomination. Words fail me to express my outrage at this report, generated and released by our government.

Do I want to see Napolitano’s head on a stick, boiled in oil, tar and feathered? I’m not a violent sort, but this type of irresponsibility and lack of knowledge of our Constitution and the protection it affords to ALL religions (not just the radical ones or the ones with glamorous names) definitely demands a spanking session in the wood shed. Yep, Janet, this report was not a “shining moment” in your new job with the Obama administration. I have a feeling it is just the first of many more to come.

I’ve read that the White House, particularly Pres. Obama, are distancing themselves from the insane DHS report. Believe me, do you think Janet would have released this monstrosity to all police in the country if she had NOT been given the thumb’s-up green light by Barack Obama and/or Rahm Emanuel? Janet is stupid, not dumb. No way would she have sent this out from sea to shining sea, unbeknownst to her new boss and without his hearty approval. Although, heck, she may end up being thrown under the Obama Bus as a result of this trash document. “Gotta take one for the socialist team, Janet…”

Why does this administration feel Christians are to be feared by our nation as being a group of radical extremists? Because the “we” of American citizens in this nation are comprised of a majority of, you guessed it, Christians. It doesn’t make sense for Christianity to be targeted, the only specific religion cited in a report authored by our US government. Unless, this is the first “test the waters” baby step toward something far more horrible, far more unimaginable, far more punitive. Yes, this alarming thought has crossed my mind, and I hope I’m wrong.

The voices of the people have been getting louder against the insane lurches to the left by our government, and we want to peacefully change our nation’s direction. The media pretends to be objective, but they aren’t. But the people of America, who make this country great, many of whom are now defined in this shameful DHS report as potential terrorists, are taking action. And yesterday’s tea parties, more than 800 across the country, is just the beginning.

She offered an apology to veterans, saying it wasn’t her intention to offend. It may not have been the intention of the report authors or Napolitano to offend or overreach, but that was certainly the effect. And it remains a mystery why Napolitano felt it necessary to distribute a shoddy nine-page report that was supposedly in the works under the Bush administration for a year, as Napolitano claims, containing zero data backing up the claim of a “resurgence” of rightwing extremist violence — and was padded with analysis from the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center to stir fear of “disgruntled military veterans.”

On Fox and Friends this morning, Napolitano admitted that she would have changed the definition included in the report.
