That Gay Patriot Blogger hit the nail on the head. When folks discuss marriage in a rational and respectful way, we’ll be able to forge ahead, most likely with a consensus that all Americans must have the right to marry whomever they wish without requiring religious institutions to perform the rites. A right to rights, but not rites, so that all families, whether they are comprised of two adults or two adults with one or more children, are protected and supported, as the foundation of a healthy society.

The only real question is: how did a fairly respectable (til now) institution — the Miss USA Pageant — invite that foul-mouthed, narcissistic bigot to be a judge in the first place?
