Does It Have to Make Sense? Anti-Military Leftist Rosa Brooks Obama’s Choice for National Security Pentagon Advisor

Right on schedule: It’s going to be yet another “what in the heck are you doing to America, Obama?” week.
Radical leftist columnist and former advisor in the Clinton administration, Rosa Brooks was announced last week as Barack Obama’s pick as a Pentagon advisor on issues of national security. Brooks, who will be leaving her post as a Los Angeles Times columnist, will now be advising Michele Flournoy, Undersecretary of Defense.
No favoritism with this choice, unless you think that Brooks, the daughter of liberal writer Barbara Ehrenreich and an acolyte of George Soros, is of any merit. Or that her deep disdain for the military and her zippety-doo-dah experience with military issues and US national security are worth mentioning.
Obama is showing either a clueless or an outrageous lack of concern for American safety. This just doesn’t make any sense. Brooks has a longtime reputation for being a left-wing, anti-military radical. She has been an apologist for Islamic terrorists and has loudly criticized the counter-terrorism efforts of the United States and Israel.
So, hey, this appointment of a military hater, with its high level of authority, dovetails Obama’s embarrassing and maddening “Magical Mystery Apology Tour” to a tee. It defies all reasonable logic.
My only hope for this illogical, ill-conceived choice to be cast aside is that 1) Rosa “forgot” to pay her taxes, like all of the “best and brightest” Democrats/liberals do, or 2) invested taxpayer funds in some nefarious Middle Eastern scheme. Or, perhaps 3) Rosa’s buff and bronzed pool-guy lover is hiding their secret love child. One can hope… and it isn’t too far-fetched when you look at the pathetic queue of Obama’s appointee castoffs who have been withdrawn for cabinet consideration.

In this article, she calls President Bush and Vice President Cheney ‘war criminals’ and wonders why they are not being prosecuted for their ‘war crimes’. She then goes on to compare those of us who support the troops in the war on terror and President Bush’s policies (yes, the same policies that won in Iraq and kept this nation safe for 7 years straight) to the Serbian supporters of the international war criminal Radovan Karadzic. “Even war criminals (President Bush and VP Cheney) have fan clubs (that’s us)” she writes. This is the woman who will now be advising national security officials?
Rosa Brooks used to work as an advisor for George Soros’s Open Society Institute. Soros is the anti-American billionaire who has been supporting the left’s assault on President Bush and conservatives in America. Just a few of their stated goals are to fight “entrenched institutional racism” in America and stopping our “increasingly punitive National Security policies”.
Brooks also previously held a position as an advisor for Professor Harold Koh when he held a position in the State Department in Bill Clinton’s administration. Harold Koh himself has also been picked by Obama this time around, again, as a State Department legal advisor.
Brooks and her relationship to Koh, as well as his own appointment to a position of power in the State Department, are as suspect as Obama’s relationship to people like William Ayers and Rev. Wright! Harold Koh gained fame when he allegedly declared at a meeting of Yale alums that “…in an appropriate case, he didn’t see any reason why Shari’a law would not be applied to govern a case in the United States,” according to one lawyer who was present, Steven Stein.
As if that piece of information wasn’t bad enough, Koh is also a huge advocate of legal transnationalism – he advocates adopting international laws into the American system, making the laws our congress passes for us subservient to those of foreign countries.
Does anything in this administration have to make sense? If the answer is no, then I actually understand. There. Is. No. Logic.
And that, in and of itself, would be logical, based on the lame/socialist/naive/inexperienced choices and behaviors of POTUS to date.
I feel compelled to watch that wacky, macabre Glenn Beck video again. I really identify with his message.
No, I don’t want to actually set myself on fire, nor does Glenn. It’s satire, you silly liberals… figurative instead of literal. Because setting myself on fire would be just as logical as hiring an anti-military person to be an advisor for the military. Wouldn’t it be?
What’s next? Putting Michael Moore in charge of the Department of Education?
