‘God Was Testing Me’: Gay Marriage Issue Unfairly Killed Miss California’s Chance for Miss USA Crown, Hilton Is a Gay Thug

I’ve never been much into beauty pageants. Likely, because while I’m cute enough to still turn a head or two, I’ve never been a beauty and have never had an interest in being a pageant queen. It would be like a vegetarian watching a hamburger cook-off championship.
However, beauty pageants have long been a tradition in the United States, whether I think they objectify women or not (yes, I think they still do, but not as much as they did in previous decades, and much less than most hip hop videos on MTV do).
The Miss USA Pageant contest, second in esteem and popularity to the Miss America Pageant contest, has been held annually since 1952 to select the United States entrant in the Miss Universe pageant. Tycoon Donald Trump has owned the pageant since 1996.

Miss California Carrie Prejean | Christian beauty queen vilified by gay blogger and not supported by pageant officials for her honest answer about gay marriage
Now we need to add a footnote to the random-question category for Miss USA entrants: Warning: The Miss USA Pageant does not want its contestants to be honest. If the question is controversial, quickly determine, while smiling, what answer will best not upset hate-filled liberals who are judges or are in the audience. Please pretend to still have high moral character while you’re lying about your opinion. If you violate this warning and tell the truth, you will be thrown under the bus by the Miss USA organization.
Here’s a World Net Daily interview with beauty contestant Carrie Prejean from California, a conservative Christian who was viciously torn to pieces by that raging slimeball gay blogger and pageant judge Perez Hilton because Carrie didn’t know that she was suppose to LIE about whether or not gay marriage should be made legal in all 50 states:
Miss California: God was testing me – Contestant loses pageant crown after answering ‘gay’ marriage question
World Net Daily
By Drew Zahn * April 21, 2009At Sunday night’s Miss USA pageant, contestant Carrie Prejean was asked the one question she dreaded most, “Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage; do you think every state should follow suit?”
Prejean, already crowned Miss California, was considered a front-runner in the Miss USA contest, but she knew her answer to that one question might not sit well with the panel, especially the inquiring judge, openly homosexual celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who calls himself “the queen of all media.”
“Out of all the topics I studied up on, I dreaded that one; I prayed I would not be asked about gay marriage,” Prejean told the Fox News Channel’s Courtney Friel in an exclusive interview. “If I had any other question, I know I would have won.”
Her answer, which suddenly has made her the center of both praise and scorn, included the words, “In my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be – between a man and a woman.”

Here’s a link to another World Net Daily article about this despicable occurrence:
Shame on the Miss USA organization for not standing up for this woman and not speaking out against its deplorable, foul-mouthed judge. Shame on Donald Trump for letting this horrible behavior of the pageant and Hilton get to this level, them attacking Carrie Prejean and now tarnishing the Miss USA pageant’s “wholesome” image (remember when, not so long ago, that a Miss USA beauty queen winner was in big trouble for partying and nearly lost her crown for her “unladylike” behavior? Where is the outrage now against Hilton calling Carrie Prejean the “b” and “c” words on his blog?). Shame on women’s organizations not coming to her defense. Shame on the likes of Hollywood’s hypocritical liberal loud-mouth elite, like Barbra Streisand, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, and Rosie O’Donnell for not speaking out against Hilton.
And, to that worthless piece of human excrement, Perez Hilton: You’ve done more damage to the gay-marriage cause than you can ever imagine. I can’t dump more shame on you than you have dumped on yourself. Get some help for your rage, you miscreant thug. And someone buy this gay pitbull a muzzle.

Fact is, Liberals don’t give a f**k about Perez Hilton or the Miss America pageant. It’s something right-wing dolts care about. The rest of us just make fun of it, which is what Americans have been doing since at least the 1960s.
They–the folks who love to imagine themselves in control of what we watch and what we think–used Perez Hilton to get you idiots to fall for yet another I-Hate-Liberals ruse. When are you going to wake up and realize we are all being used? You, for instance, are using up valuable time and energy writing about this insanity and so am I. Think it through.
I don’t agree, Gustav. Perez Hilton is just another straw on the proverbial camel’s back, showing the growing rage against conservatives in this country and to what extent that rage will be carried out. It’s not a distraction, but another revelation of the disease. It has been manifesting for years, but with more alarming venom and danger. Since Bush is out and Obama is in, the liberals should be happy as clams. But they aren’t.
There has been a tremendous amount of escalating hate against conservatives in the past two weeks. Hilton’s filth is but one: the DHS report targeting conservatives as potential terrorists; Obama’s speech at Georgetown, a Catholic university, and his request that all Catholic symbols be covered; the continued marginalizing of tea party attendees, including Garofalo’s racist comments. By itself, the Miss USA incident would be horrifying. But combined with these other events, I believe it shows a pattern of grave concern of division and intolerance in our country.
You’re right, Perez Hilton and his misogynist, filthy rantings likely mean nothing to liberals. And the fact that it involved the Miss USA pageant is of little importance… any venue where this occurred would be vile. But if a conservative spokesperson had said the same vile things about a liberal beauty contestant, blood would be in the streets. Liberals would be on all major liberal stations, demanding justice and that he be tarred and feathered. Look at what happened last year when Don Imus made one stupid racist remark on his radio show. Yes, it was against black women, and Hilton’s remark was against one white woman. Both are reprehensible, but only one of the events was deemed worthy by liberals to protest. Imus apologized several times for his insensitive remark, but still was crucified. Hilton has happily fanned the anti-conservative fires with the media several times this week, increasing his profanities and unbridled hatred against Prejean. No liberal has spoken up against his defamation of a woman. No liberal at all. I don’t think pointing this out or denouncing Hilton is, as you put it, “a waste of time.”
Women have been marginalized and treated like second-class citizens or as possessions of men in many societies through the ages, and still are in the Middle East. So no defense of any woman who was attacked like Hilton has attacked Prejean should outrage all people, and be an imperative to liberals to denounce, regardless of her race or religion. Silence is a cowardly cop out, and it is acceptance.
Obama’s disregard of our Constitution and the voices of millions of Americans being ignored has now escalated to an unprecedented action: showing the world our secret CIA memos. This is far more dangerous than Hilton’s gay thuggery. But it, too, is indicative of the spreading contempt and dismissive attitude being leveled on a majority of Americans.
If, as you suggest, this is all a big funny “ruse” by some unnamed big Liberal Puppet Master to pretend that radical liberals hate conservatives and Republicans, I’m impressed. The so-called ruse has been very convincing. Especially by those who still “pretend” to hate George W. Bush.
OK GUSTAV, what DO the liberals care about ?
What do you want to see this country look like in two years?
Freedom of speech, without the media maligning a woman on national TV for voicing her opinion on her honest views about the question she was given.
I commend her for her courage to state her feelings on a national/international stage.
The 1st Amendment hasn’t been revoked to my knowledge.
Gustav, you’re tiresome and self-absorbed. You’ll be the first to cry and whine when this country goes to hell in a hand basket… why oh why has this happened to me? Slap yourself, dude… the writing is on the wall and you’ve been drinking the Obama koolaid. Stop being an observer and take soem action to prevent this socialist creep from destroying our country. And that perv Hilton is just one of his hate filled foot soldiers. Like that horrible skank Jaenene (sp?) Garofola (sp?) did last week about teh tea party people being racists. Bad news, and yur right – libs only care about anything if it directly affects them OR if they can sound cool in front of other libs, but don’t have to actually accomplishment anything, like ‘I donate my time to Earth Day events’ or ‘Some of my best friends are black.’ Most I’ve met are phonies and don’t care about anyone except themselves. They talk the talk, but NEVER walk the walk. Like Obama does.
If you think I’m wrong, I respectfully ask you to debate me on this. I know that I sounded off here, but im tired of liberals acting like they are five year olds. “Where’s my candy? Are we there yet? How does this affect me?” Look past your nose and see what is happening here. By the time it actually affects you to the point you’re being hurt by it, it will be too late.
YOU NEED TO WAKE UP AND GROW UP.
Great response to Gustav by the way. Abuse of women is not acceptable in my book. A decent real man (which we know Hilton is not) would never do that. He’s a piece of garbage.
