Mark Levin Offers Free Representation to Defend “Torture” Memo Lawyers, Larry Summers Falls Asleep, White House Party Tonight… Let’s Conga!

Just some random odds and ends in this post; I’ve been having some aggravating WordPress problems today, so I’ve opted to just toss several short pieces I collected this week into this one post:

Still Number 1 after 4 weeks on bestseller list: Mark Levin's Book 'Liberty and Tyranny, A Conservative Manifesto'
This was a flagrant flip-flop of what they had said earlier in the week. Not only that, but it sets a dangerous precedent in that it imitates the tyranny of dictatorships. Never in American history has a previous administration been subject to the whims of legal prosecution (or persecution, take your pick) by the new administration. I know, socialist countries do it all the time, but we’re still America. This is a travesty.
This action will potentially shackle and demoralize the thousands of Americans who work in our intelligence agencies. If they believe they can be prosecuted, even years later based on government whims, after giving advice or having approval reversed, how can they do their jobs effectively at stopping murderous terrorists? They’ll be looking over their shoulders, not making the tough decisions (why should they when they could have approval today and the government could rescind that approval 8 years from now?) Will this be classified torture in five years? Maybe I should not even try to get answers about target US cities from this known terrorist, he could lie and sue me, and the government is trusting terrorists who behead people more than US citizens…
Lord save us. This will have a devastating effect on our national security. If the agencies that are here to protect us can’t trust their government, their boss… you might as well be in Venezuela or Cuba.
So, Levin is offering free defense attorney representation to at least one of them, possibly more. He finds the release of national security CIA memos of how terrorists have been interrogated repugnant, irresponsible, and dangerous for our country. He’s a brilliant attorney and has mastery of law and history.
Levin is offering much more should any of this garbage go to trial. Listen to what he says in the YouTube embed below will happen to the growing number of shady folks in our government. Pandora’s box… you might want to recant and retreat now while you still can: I’m talkin’ to you, Tim Geithner, Nancy Pelosi, Rahm Emanuel, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, and Barney Frank. A lot of skeletons amongst you… and several people have already come forward to say that Pelosi is trying to dodge some bullets and is lying through her teeth about not knowing about waterboarding.
Mark Levin, thank you for your passion, patriotism, and generosity. Don’t let the turkeys get you down. Let freedom ring!

Obama’s meeting today to discuss changes in operation with members of the major credit card companies was just too much for poor Larry Summers, White House National Economic Council Director.
He fell asleep. Sitting up. Michelle Malkin’s blog has a link to the AP photo.
Too funny.

Was last night’s regular Wednesday night White House party postponed because of Obama’s Earth Day trip yesterday to Iowa? Or, was it held as scheduled and tonight’s is a stand-alone Thursday night party? Hard to keep all the WH parties straight.

Obama, Our Partying POTUS
But, more importantly… can any of them CONGA?

and all OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE PARTYING DOWN AT THE WHITE HOUSE ON OUR DIME !!
Thanks for the list.
I would pay real money to see Mark Levin take these suckers down.
Mark Levine is a pathetic child. He pretends that he is pro-American yet will fight for no American values. The Bush administration nearly destroyed our Country with their stupidity and Levin cheered them on all the way. Shame on him! He is like a child who cannot say any bad thing about his mother no matter how far into trouble she gets. In order to deal with this nations shame we have got to face up to it and prosecute those who strayed so very far from our ideals. This is what it means to be a man and a patriot. Grow up!
Obviously, you’ve been listening to Levin far longer than I have. I say that because in the 9 months that I’ve listened to his show, he must have changed from what you’ve described. Never once have I ever heard him “cheer Bush on.” More often than not, Levin criticized or lamented his actions, particularly when it came to signing the bailout packages that Congress approved with a Democrat majority in the fall of 2008.
Which actions did he cheer, Bob? I’m not being facetious. I have no knowledge of what you’re talking about. I don’t consistently listen, as I’m at work, so perhaps I missed the “cheering.”
And frankly, as disappointed as I’ve been with Bush on illegal immigration and bailouts, I have also cheered him on a number of things. The destruction you describe at the hands of Bush is utter poppycock. The financial disaster was long in the making, particularly that of the grievous errors made through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Bush tried many times to instigate measures for regulation. Guess what? The Dems refused. There are a number of video accountings of this all over the net. Up until the fall of 2008, this country was in pretty good shape. The mandates of banks making loans to minorities who couldn’t afford it was not Bush’s doing. It started during the Carter administration, and Bill Clinton furthered it. Accountability was shed by banks because ACORN and other community organizations were monitoring them, ready to scream “racism” if a family of color was denied a loan because they weren’t making enough money. In time, too many people were defaulting, and that’s when the cards came tumbling down. It’s all a matter of record.
Before you blindly bash our former president, please offer facts with substance and proof. And this nation’s shame you mention? Sorry you feel like that, but the only thing I’m ashamed of right now is our current president shaming us in front of our enemies. This is the most generous, patriotic nation in the world. And praise God you’re allowed to bash it and Bush without fear of retaliation. That’s because of your First Amendment rights. Something that is absent from so many socialist countries. Just try saying a few negative things about Chavez or Castro on the Internet… you’d be punished. Bush made errors (who doesn’t), but overall, he did not do many of the things liberals have brainwashed you to believe. Those were acts of Congress. Bush chose early in his presidency to not exercise his veto power. He felt he had to trust the elected officials in Congress, and if they had all discussed logically and completely the bills they were presenting to him, he felt it would be arrogant and an abuse of power to not entrust them. Not many presidents have done that, and I’ll admit, the bad decisions made over the last few months of his presidency should have been vetoed. But I cannot fault him with entrusting Congress… this is what a good leader does. Empower those in his command and trust that they will do the right thing. Sadly, most did not.
Check for yourself. Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Harry Reid, Tim Geithner, Chuck Schumer, et al in Congress, have dirtier hands and less patriotism than Bush. If you can offer facts, not heresay and not ignorant rantings to dispute what I’ve written, I’d welcome hearing about your information that differs from what I’ve laid out here.
Prosecution? Yes, Bob, I do believe that the unlawfulness, the tax evasion, the shady campaign contributions, the pocketing of bailout monies, and many other potentially illegal acts of Barney Frank, Harry Reid, John Murtha, Bill Richardson, Hillary Clinton, Tim Geithner, Tom Daschle, and many others should be investigated and taken to court. I agree with you on that. The financial crap of Obama’s campaign manager is just now hitting the light of day.
They have violated the oaths of their office and have not acted in the best interest of Americans. On that, you and I do concur.
