No More Excuses for Shameful Smears: DHS Targets US Military Heroes, Christians, and Not the Real Radical Terrorists

Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is taking a huge amount of heat for her department’s “right-wing extremist” report issued a few weeks ago. To that, I say, GOOD. About time. Turn up the heat.

It’s a shameful piece of garbage, and she’s now dancing as fast as she can to restore faith in her abilities to do the job. I read a news blurb that she issued a formal apology today (today?? Why nearly two weeks after the DHS document was released? Why not immediately?)

Too little, too late, Janet. Your contemptible document has targeted our heroic returning military veterans and Christians or any American who dares to disagree with what is coming out of the White House. Heck, how many American citizens would that potentially be, that would be threats to the Obama administration? I’m guessing maybe 200 million, give or take a few thousand.

Why aren’t the real, radical terrorists mentioned in this junk report?

Oops. Like the ones who used airplanes to bomb the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon, or were orchestrating to bomb Los Angeles off the face of the map. You do know that radical terrorists have beheaded American journalists in front of a TV camera, or have strapped makeshift bombs onto mentally challenged people and have them walk into an Iraqi marketplace, blowing themselves up and everyone around them? Oh, right… those al-Qaida people are simply misunderstood. In the Age of Obama, we will work out “our differences” with our enemies. But American citizens are considered radical threats by our government.

With you being the head of our Homeland Security, I sure don’t feel secure. It’s like hoping Bozo the Clown will protect my family, my friends, my America from radical extremists who want with every fiber in their bodies to kill all Americans. I’m fed up with this buffoonery. People’s lives are at stake. Those of American citizens. And I’m suppose to be upset about three bloodthirsty terrorists being waterboarded? Are they still alive? Oh, they are, huh? And doing fairly well, eh?

Is Daniel Pearl still alive? Are the crew members of the USS Cole still alive? Are all the people who were in the WTC towers in NYC on September 11, 2001 still alive? Then, no… I DO. NOT. CARE. THAT. BUSH. WATERBOARDED. MURDEROUS. TERRORISTS. TO. SAVE. AMERICAN. LIVES.

No free pass on this one, Napolitano. You dropped the ball big time. You’re incompetent and blatantly biased against right-wing conservatives. Like little old ladies who read the Bible, go to church on Sunday, and oppose abortion. Or returning soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan, who were willing to sacrifice their lives for America. You and that deplorable racist loser Janeane Garofalo must be BFF by now.

And that knee-jerk response, saying that it was originally “George W. Bush’s report” is so laughable and obvious.

Crikey, when will Bush stop being the whipping boy for all the mistakes of this administration? Someone on GW’s staff may have started drafting the report, or something similar, a year ago (we have no idea how many revisions your team has made to it, and while this isn’t clear, no one’s ‘fessing up to it), but Bush never RELEASED the frickin’ thing to law enforcement officers through out the country. You did.

Hope that hot water you’re in continues to steam, Janet. I like my eggs hard-boiled.

I’d agree that Sec. Napolitano was definitely injudicious with that statement. Furthermore the last thing we want to do is start ostracizing veterans of OIF/OEF like we did the Viet Nam vets when they came home. We should not be denigrating our fellow citizens for mistakes or wrongdoing (e.g., Abu Ghraib) performed by their superiors.
