Why Sarah Palin Drives Female Liberals Crazy

I was a Girl Scout leader for seven fabulous years. We sold thousands of boxes of cookies, went camping, learned origami and recycling skills, marched in parades, and earned a slew of activity patches. In our GS neighborhood, there was a sweet woman who was a bombshell as well as a volunteer leader.

pamela-anderson11She was gorgeous, in that tanned, big-boobed, peroxide-blonde Pamela Anderson on Baywatch kind of way. She had a sexy, breathy Marilyn Monroe voice. She wore snugly fitted sweaters with plunging necklines, thick false eyelashes, and bright eyeshadow. She was amazing to look at, like a voluptuous comic-book heroine come to life. She was, as my son would call her, “a total babe,” as well as being bright, articulate, and incredibly sweet.

Many of the other leaders despised this sweet gal, though (I’m going to call her “Pamela” from this point on). When we had leader meetings and Pamela wasn’t around, they’d huddle and cackle and gossip and say a host of mean things (so much for Girl Scout tolerance). When she came within earshot, they’d clam up and barely say “boo” to her. When she walked away, muffled giggles and nasty whispers would start back up. I had always liked Pamela, although I didn’t really know her, and was dumbfounded by these women’s pettiness and hypocrisy.

Jealousy. Unjustified, red-blooded, childish, raging jealousy. Pamela had never done anything wrong to them except be who she was. And that was the entire problem. How dare she look like that… she’s probably a terrible mother. She probably sleeps around, that bitch. I’ll smack my husband in the face if he ever looks twice at her.

Pamela and her family moved to a different city at the end of the school year. I didn’t think much about her until, a couple years later, I ran into her at a local McDonald’s. My kids were attending a birthday party and her kids were attending a different birthday party.

It was great to see Pamela again, and while we’d never been especially close, we gabbed away like lifelong sorority sisters. Things were going great for her. She said that in her new city, she’d been selected to run the entire scout neighborhood. She was having a blast and a lot of her creative ideas, which were never given any consideration before, were being implemented. Once, when I mentioned one of the other leaders from my group, her former group, Pamela got a tense look on her face, but said nothing. Later, as she and her kids were leaving McD’s, she quietly told me that I was the only one from that old group who had ever been nice to her.

Gulp.

Looking back, I know that Pamela had been a target of jealous anger and hateful marginalizing. I have a theory that it is the same now with liberals, especially women, against Sarah Palin.

Gov. Sarah Palin, target of hate by liberals

Gov. Sarah Palin, target of hate by liberals

Gov. Palin is beautiful, accomplished, smart, has strong convictions and conservative values, a deep belief in God and Jesus Christ, a happy family life, has a handsome, down-to-earth husband and beautiful kids who love her.

These are all the reasons for unhappy, mean-spirited, frumpy, trivial women with big gaping pathetic holes in their lives to hate her… she reminds them of the major deficiencies in their own lives and they’re worried that if compared to her by others, they won’t measure up. Just looking at her makes them feel insignificant. Palin makes them feel threatened and insecure, so of course, she must be brought DOWN. Like a rabid dog.

Why do liberal men bash Palin, then?

Again, it’s just my own theory. Perhaps it is for similar reasons, but in reverse. She’s beautiful, accomplished, articulate, smart, and the women in their lives are not. Now it’s not so much jealousy, but anger and the assumption that if a woman is beautiful and smart and not your wife and not a Democrat, she must be a whore or filled with nefarious motivations. And even if she isn’t a whore, you need to viciously smear her reputation like a lying, pimply, angst-filled teenage boy will do, someone who will never get a chance to take the high school beauty to the big prom. Rather than let this unattainable beauty break your heart, you vow to break her spirit for daring to be as magnificent as she is.

Gov. Palin also threatens some of the male elected officials in the GOP. I’m guessing they are responding like liberal women: she reminds them of the major deficiencies in their own congressional leadership and they’re worried that if compared to her by other people, in contrast, they don’t measure up. Or, they’re just viciously competitive to the point of “anything goes in politics.” That “leader of the pack,” “Alpha Dog” kind of thing (hmm… more than the usual amount of canine references in this piece).

In Alaska, there is a hate-filled, overweight, decidedly unattractive red-headed woman blogger whose heartfelt goal in life is to lodge numerous frivolous ethics complaints and lawsuits against the Palins to destroy them financially. This vile woman brags on and on… and on… and on about these suits against Palin on her blog (I envision her stuffing Twinkies in her cavernous mouth as she types this garbage), and other hateful, empty-lived people love reading about her insane efforts to “bring Sarah down.” I won’t mention the URL or site name because this woman is Satan’s lackey, as far as I’m concerned, and won’t get free advertisement for her vicious site from me.

How horrific (and pitiable) it is to live like that. If Sarah Palin were ever to leave the political arena, this vengeful woman and others like her would have no direction in their miserable, meaningless lives. Reading National Enquirer at the checkout stand to laugh at beautiful celebrities’ problems can only provide them limited satisfaction and distraction.

Do all liberal women hate her? Of course not. I’m discovering among my “liberal” acquaintances, that a good number of them claim to be liberals, but instead, have many conservative values and have much in common with Palin. And these people don’t hate Palin. A few have even said they were secretly rooting for her during the elections. They may not agree with her politics or won’t vote for her political party, which is perfectly acceptable. But they are rational and respectful about their reasons for not liking her. Not the zealots, though.

While I was always friendly with her, I never stood up for Pamela and the unfair crap and pettiness she was dished out. I regret that still. Not everyone in the group had been unjustifiably snotty to her, but enough were, and I did nothing. Stupidity or cowardice? Maybe both. So, I’m now making up for it.

Sarah Palin is my “Pamela.” I’ve joined a group at Team Sarah.org that will help raise funds for the Palin family to defray the legal costs of these ridiculous complaints and lawsuits. If you’re interested, click the Team Sarah link in my blog roll in the right sidebar and conduct a search on the site. You need to be approved for membership before you can participate in any group on the Team Sarah site (this can take a while, since they try to weed out trolls). I think it’s reprehensible the lengths some people will go to in order to “bring Sarah down.”

Sarah Palin is a true patriot, a proud American. She drives most liberals nuts because she is herself, and many conservatives think she is glorious. I know I do. She always sees the glass half full. She never whines or bellyaches like liberals do. She’s a positive role model, a strong woman who never gives up. A female John Wayne.

Rather than hate themselves for being underachievers or weasels or be destined to be obscured in her shadow, liberal politicians choose to hate her instead. Their blood boils as she gains more supporters across America. Alaska is one of the only states right now that isn’t on the brink of bankruptcy and she has one of the highest approval ratings in the nation for a US politician.

Rather than learn from her or find a way to compete against her fairly and honorably in the politico sphere, they’d rather be jackals. Or jackasses.

A life filled with hate is a tragedy. But a life being ruined by unjustified hate is far worse. And I won’t stand by idly watching her enemies try to destroy her with their evil—someone as genuine and gifted as Sarah Palin.

She and Pamela deserve better from us.

    Your column is refreshing.

I joined the Air Force right out of high school. I grew up in a small town, and never had any exposure to people from other walks of life or philosophies.

I was taught the Golden Rule and employed it, and I found that the outside doesn’t matter, it’s the inside.

Common Sense is still around, however, the people that have it are being maligned and beaten down by the media.

I was skeptical when McCain selected her as VP, but once I heard her talk, and saw her common sense conservative attitude, I was stoked.

The left wing media’s attempts to destroy her and her family are deplorable.

Can we say Kennedys, Charly Rangel, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, and anymore of the crooks that are running this government ?

This attack against Sarah is at the very least hypocritical.

I understand she has many lawsuits against her and her family,…where are the lawsuits against the criminals in congress ???

The left wing is TERRIFIED OF HER, AND HER PHILOSOPHIES !

2010, we vote again,…and can change the majorities in congress, GOD HELP US !

AFVET, thanks for your comment. As always, you’re thoughtful, coherent, and supportive. Thumbs up!

Sarah Palin is the best thing that has happened to the Republican party in recent years, but the vitriol spewed and flat-out lies flung by liberal haters may be too much for her to overcome. The hate belching from liberals against people of faith and those who are conservative these last two weeks have been out of control, and I’m sick and tired of it.

But I’ve decided that I’m going to jump into the ring swinging. Enough is enough. The direction of our country is dismal and frightening, socialism will kill the free market, but I know millions of Americans think like you do.

I’ll be one of her tiny voices of support, and if more voices like mine join in, like yours and other readers of this blog and other conservative blogs, then we won’t let the weasels win without a fight. Having Palin in the White House would be just the medicine this country needs these days. And, amen to 2010 being around the corner. I’m here, I believe, to encourage and motivate the “Conservative Underground,” as Sean Hannity calls it. I’m just one voice, but sometimes, when you’re alone in the dark and cold, that’s all you need to hear to keep going.

Thank you sincerely for your service to our country in the Air Force. You are a real hero, and America needs more patriots like you.

      Let freedom ring!

        The saying goes (paraphrased),

Whatever hurts the most only tends to make you stronger.

I see Sarah as a fighter, and her husband is a fighter, and he will stand by her whatever. And so will her family.

The media will try their best, but they won’t beat them.

        • admin says:

It’s an honor to know you, AFVET. Your service to this country is humbling and appreciated. Thousands of brave men and women serve our nation at any given time, and with this POTUS, I feel that they are window dressing to him, pawns to be used when it fits a specific agenda. There is no honor in that, and I find it disgraceful. Our military is the best in the world, and the deplorable Homeland Security report that went out 10+ days ago speaks volumes about how our president and his minions regard our honorable military. Disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful.

And as far as the politicians that are serving us as they should be… crikey, I could count those that do indeed do serve with honor and patriotism on just one, possibly two hands. DeMint, Jindal, Palin, Kyl, Bachmann, Romney… there are likely several more, but I’m hard-pressed to think of their names.

  5. greg says:

Sarah Palin is the best thing in politics to come along in a very, very long time. Someone who has accomplished a great deal without benefit of a rich, and powerful family, without riding her husband’s coattails, and without benefit of a political machine. Something that everyone should admire, men and women alike. She represents exactly what our nation’s founders envisioned for the leadership of the country. I will be proud to cast my vote for Palin if she choses to run for president in 2012 or 2016 or both.

  6. Lisa Graas says:

Thanks for linking to my article at Why Mommy is a Republican. I loved the story you related about “Pamela”. I think it’s a double-standard to be criticize someone’s looks as you did with the blogger you mentioned and then ask others to look beyond the looks of those deemed more-good looking, but overall this was a good piece of work.

We really can elevate the debate in this country. As a staunch conservative and a supporter of Governor Palin (Palin 2012!) I still must admit that there are some liberals out there who, although I strongly disagree with them, do still have standards on this and are critical of those who are doing this to Sarah Palin.

    Many thanks.

    • admin says:

Thanks for the comment. I purposely used the adjective “unattractive” to describe the blogger (which was not intended as criticism, but as a simple, pertinent fact) was to again make the point that many people attack others who are “more” in some way to them (i.e., wealthier, handsomer, smarter, stronger, more successful, etc.) out of jealousy, that then manifests itself into destructive or malicious behavior. This blogger is, in my opinion, not at all attractive, thus supporting my theory of why Palin, whom I consider to be tremendously attractive, is attacked so relentlessly by her.

If Palin was of “equal” or “lesser” beauty to this blogger, I suspect the attacks would not be happening, or wouldn’t have the same level of venom. Could be wrong. Just my opinion. If the blogger was “gorgeous” or “attractive,” I suspect the same result would occur. Saying someone is unattractive, by society’s standards, is not a slam or judgment. Just an observation. Sorry if I didn’t make that more clear in the essay.

Again, thanks for the comment, and it’s good to know that there are indeed liberals out there who are critical of the hatchet jobs done on Palin. Now, if only a few of them would stop being silent and step forward and say so…

I am very impressed with Sarah Palin aand her obvious Wholesome American Attitude. I hope that she runs again in 2012 and for President of this wonderful country this time, so that I can vote for her again!

John McCain did more for the Republician Party by Introducing Mrs. Palin
to the rest of the world. If not for him, we would never have known about her down here in the “Lower 48″. She is a fresh breath to our country, I hope she stands by her guns and will be ready and willing(She is already Able) to bring US out of our depression, and I do not mean finanical depression!

  8. DEO says:

Begging your pardon, but what do you mean PALIN NEVER BELLYACHES?
All she does is give interviews to complain about how something isnt her fault.
    BTW, I LIKE Pamela Anderson…………..

    • admin says:

The text doesn’t say she never bellyaches… it says she she never whines and bellyaches like liberals do. Liberals and community organization groups run by liberals are the ULTIMATE whiners. Palin going public against the frivolous lawsuit attacks against her or the crap about her teenage daughter’s sex life or Andrew Sullivan’s strange crackpot theory that he still announces about Trig not being her son but Bristol’s are not meritless (I left out about 500 other things she could indeed be critical of that the media hounds her on unjustifiably).

Being critical is not bellyaching… unless, she’s suppose to be a smiling doormat and just “take it” like a good girl or a drone? Don’t think so.

Considering the never-ending assaults and blatant lies told about her and her family, the nonstop “gotcha moments” they still experience dished out by the media and the public since McCain picked her as a running mate, I think she is MORE than justified to air her grievances or criticism or whatever.

Geez, does anyone viciously tear Joe Biden to shreds when he makes one of his weekly gaffes? Or that Michelle Obama went to help the homeless last week wearing sneakers that cost more than $500? Palin has generated more negative attention for the tiniest of things (or fabrications), whereas the media closes their eyes to any major gaffe the Obama administration makes. David Letterman struggled with making a joke that criticized the White House’s boneheaded decision about the “secret” Air Force One NYC flyover that terrified New Yorkers. Good grief, Dave. Had that been a Republican, heads would still be rolling on late night talk shows. As it should be. But since it was Obama’s doing, “nothing to see here, move along.” Double standard, and Palin has handled it remarkably well most of the time. Give her a break for not being “Miss Perfect” 24/7.

I like Pamela Anderson, too. I know a slew of normally rational women who hate her guts… why? “Because I do, that’s why.” I heard she may be living in the skids right now. Hope that isn’t so, but if it is, I trust in her inner strength to get back out. That gal can sure make poor decisions, but she’s always risen above the adversity. Like Palin, right?

    To Erin Queenofspain:

I’m still waiting to hear your answer to the admin. Which policy of Palin’s makes you hate her? Must be REALLY bad for u to not dislike her, be disappointed or in disagreement with the policy, but u HATE her. Very strong emotions vbery scary. Actually, u sound a lot like the women described in the post. The queenofspain user name sounds like ur not happy with ur life and are pretending ur royalty or sumptin.

Is it Sarahs “kill puppies” policy? No? What then or is it cuz she has a (R) after her name? Yep that’s what i think. Youre obviously a zombie lib from California or Chicago. Hate means never giving a reason, right? or u say its her policy just to make u sound intelligent but u dont know her policies and u can’t figure out which one or no any of them. Obamabot stop drinking the koolaid & use your brain and not your emotions. and if u ARE from Calif or Chi-town like i think (but I could be wrong), how does it feel to have your economy be in the toilet but Palin’s in Alaska econmy is doing great? Is that it? You hate her because she hasn’t been a greedy moron with the state’s budget? Admin, lib trolls are out today. cmon erin… we’re all wating for your answer……………sound of clock ticking…

  10. Tricia says:

This article gave me chills. Excellent post, and it makes me remember my own “Pamelas” from school. Something I’m not proud of. This has motivated me to try to be less judgmental of women who are more physically attractive than me. I’d never admit out loud that’s why I was mean or thoughtless to someone, because that makes me feel petty and small. But writing it here is pretty safe, and I think I needed to a kikc in the butt to realize I need to work on this on myslef.

Sarah Palin is amazing, she gives people hope and inspriation. Good things are in store for her. The ongoing nastiness and hate from Democrats and the press is so pathetic and how she handles it most of the time just makes me admire her all the more. If more people took the high road and had a life that was faith-based (not just Christianity) and not driven by greed, the world would be a better place. Or at least our government would be a better place. Keep up the good work and the good writing. Not many people have the courage to stand up for Palin, and I’m glad I discovered your website. You wrote this really well. I’m going to send the link to many of my friends so they can read it to.

To Erin who wrote earlier, I would also like to know what policy of hers makes you totally hate her? I sense some problems in your life and lashing out at Palin somehow makes you feel better about yourself, but only for a little whle. I dislike many policies of poltiicians, Republican or Democrat, but I don’t hate the person for it. Hate is pretty strong, Erin… what policy of hers does that to you? I hope you can work out what ever is going wrong in your life and that you’ll someday realize that life’s too short to let hate consume you. I feel sorry for you, but if you make an effort to be less judgemental of Palin, maybe you’ll be less judgemental of yourself.

I think its hilarious that Erin Queenofspain can be such a hypocrite, saying she totally hates Sarah Palin for her policy but conveniently leaves out which one. Which policy? Erin’s a hit and run lib troll, LOL. Palin’s track record in Alaska is amazing and last I saw numbers on it, she had an approval rating with Alasakans of over 80%. Nancy Pelosi’s approval rating is below 10. So is alot of Democrat senators these days. Obama has never had an 80 and his approval is dropping every week. At his 100 day mark his rating was lower than Clinton’s or Bush’s at the same point in their presidencies. So, maybe 20 percent or less of Alaskans don’t agree with Palin’s policies. So what? But try to name ANYONE in politics who has a higher approval rating than Palin. Even Congress is in the toilet with it’s approval ratings.

Palin is definitely hated by most libs because they fear her. And that’s why they have to keep churning the muddy waters with gossip and crap. They are terrified she will be a viable candidate in 2012. Yea, I’ll vote for her. The rest are crooks and morons.

  14. Michael Savage said it best when he declared that Liberalism is a “mental disorder.” At first I thought he was merely taking a stab ~ but then, as he discussed it, I saw that he was absolutely spot on!

“In Alaska, there is a hate-filled, overweight, decidedly unattractive red-headed woman blogger … (I envision her stuffing Twinkies in her cavernous mouth as she types this garbage)…”

Come on! A perfectly good post totally ruined by fat prejudice. Does there *have* to be a nasty stab at fat people here? If this blogger is hate-filled then fine, state that fact. Sarah Palin is beautiful etc etc but not all of us fat people are sitting around stuffing twinkies and other crap in our mouths and otherwise being worthy of contempt just because of our weight. No wonder there’s so much jelousey towards Mrs. Palin! Our society devalues and openly hates fat people and demands that *all* women attain a nearly impossible deffinition of beauty or else they are worth nothing. Yes, I can see why so many people are full of jelousey and angst ~ based on what they *look like* they are being treated like second class citizens by their fellow Americans.

If Sarah Palin was FAT would she have been given half of the respect and admiration from conservatives? What if she had bucked teeth or a double chin? Do we love Sarah Palin so much because of her LOOKS? Would we repsect all that she has done if she weighed as much as the “overweight, decidedly unattractive red-headed woman blogger” in Alaska?

If we have any hope of winning our country back from the brink of Marxist stupidity we need to reevaluate how we treat one another based on looks and weight. (Both men and women!) Is America a wonderful country worthy of our love and patriotism or is it just another image-obsessed population, some of which, via conservative, often Christian leanings, claims to respect humanity while at the same time sneering at those deemed “unatractive”?

Picture Sarah Palin weighing 200 pounds. Would you still love her as much? Or are you just as shallow as the Liberals?

    • admin says:

With all due respect, you’ve missed the entire point of the article. And saying that I’m “as shallow as liberals” from one isolated sentence that honestly and accurately (but not foully or crudely) describes how a woman looks — a woman whose dark, obsessed, hate-filled mission is to ruin Sarah Palin and all members in her family — makes me sigh with frustration. This blogger’s looks are the very reason why I believe she does what she does to Palin.

Her looks, or lack thereof, are at the core of why she is so vicious and cruel to the Palin family. There are other reasons, such as politics and Palin’s happy marriage, but I honestly believe this to be the primary motivation. To not mention it would have been a lie, to skirt the main kernel of truth.

Uncomplimentary appraisals are not the same as hate-filled, baseless bilge and lies. To say a fat woman is fat is NOT fat prejudice. To say that a fat woman who is fat isn’t fat to protect her feelings from being wounded would be untruthful (and irrelevant to the article, since the woman is not identified).

Not that this makes a bit of difference, but I come from a family of overweight people. We love to eat. My two best friends are my amazing twin sisters, Milissa and Milinda, who are each about 200 pounds. Milissa has a bad limp from a fused ankle. So she walks funny and is overweight. I love her to pieces. Also, I’m no “thinny Minnie,” either. I’m comfortable with who I am, and if my looks don’t appeal to someone, who cares? My husband loves me for me. My admiration for my two sisters and for Sarah Palin has nothing to do with how they look. I was illustrating in the article that for some people (like the women in the GS troop I described, most of whom were as big as houses and had exceedingly plain faces) that if they are not physically attractive by society’s standards, or if they have empty, unhappy lives, they often times will target and ridicule a beautiful woman (not a handsome man, though – what’s with that?) solely because she is attractive. Insecurity is a prime reason. Jealousy is another. Nothing rational. Often, they want to destroy her. This gives them joy, sick as it sounds.

As the article rightfully points out, many people, especially liberal females, DO despise Palin because of the way she looks. And yes, I do envision this particular hate-filled, overweight, unattractive female blogger in Alaska putting something other than low-fat tofu into her mouth. Maybe not Twinkies, maybe fried chicken or donuts instead. What’s wrong with thinking that? A person who is fat usually eats fattening things and eats often. Right? I stated my mind’s eye vision of what that woman is eating while angrily typing away (and I know overweight people eat while at the computer, because I do it all the time, LOL), while blogging her bile and hate… what’s wrong with that? Nothing is wrong with that. I was being critical, but not being cruel or hateful. Facts are sometimes unpleasant, they are still facts. Maybe you feel it isn’t nice to state that someone is overweight, it is better to ignore it. Well, I don’t. She IS unattractive and overweight and redheaded (her hair color isn’t important, I would have written blonde or brunette if she had been either). She has her photo posted on the website. Am I suppose to not notice what she looks like? She’s also extremely mean and self-indulgent, wasting huge amounts of taxpayers’ money and elected officials’ time with her lawsuit nonsense. I think this point is crucial… If she were not unattractive, was considered attractive by society’s standards, and had a better self image of herself, I’m convinced that she would not spend as much time as she does filing frivolous lawsuits and blogging hateful diatribes against Sarah daily. I think that in her angry, twisted mind, Sarah Palin deserves to be attacked, deserves it because she has been blessed with so much and this woman has not (I could be wrong, but I don’t think so). I’m not saying that ALL unattractive, overweight women hate or are envious of Sarah. That would be ridiculous. This one is, though.

I’m not judging her on her looks. I am judging her on her infantile, mean-spirited, nasty behavior, and her looks have shaped her outlook on life, and thus, contribute greatly to that destructive behavior against Palin.

If I had called this woman any of the vile, horrible, mysoginist, hate-inspired names Sarah is called (like Palin’s detractors constantly call her a slut, a whore, a bitch, the “c” word, hope she gets raped by a gang, you name it – just watch David Letterman for an example), then yes, you’d have a point. But I did not. I am not the enemy. Believe me, I would love the world to be a peaceful, better place than it is. I would love this country to not be going down the path to socialism. I am not part of this problem by saying that an overweight woman is overweight. Nor by saying she is unattractive when she is, indeed, unattractive.

I should be allowed to call an unattractive woman “unattractive.” I’m not lying or exaggerating. Is saying “unattractive” unacceptable for me to say? If so, it’s a hypocritical double standard, because liberals say FAR worse about Condi Rice, Cindy McCain, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and other physically attractive, high-profile conservative women. They are targets time and again, partly because they are conservatives, but mostly because they are attractive. They are attacked with lies and innuendo. Their morals are mocked and criticized, their intelligence is decried, their values are marginalized, their character is smeared and maligned. Pure hate. Look at the vicious attacks lodged recently against beauty queen Carrie Prejean for her carefully worded, honest response about gay marriage. People have had a hey-day tearing her to shreds. They don’t know her, but they have chosen to take a politically motivated question and twist her answer to justify destroying her. Militant gays and Hollywood liberals say they are attacking her because of her stance against gay marriage, but since Barack Obama has said the exact same thing and they have not decried him or denounced him, they are bold-faced liars. They are using it as an excuse to attack yet another attractive conservative woman, calling her all those foul names they’ve been using against Palin. Believe me, there are far worse things someone can be called other than “overweight,” “unattractive,” and “eating Twinkies.” If someone is fat and they are called fat, well, that person is overly sensitive to the truth if they get upset. The truth can hurt, but much deeper and worse can lies hurt. If someone who is a Christian and is morally motivated and has never been promiscuous, but is called a slut or whore or the “c” word by haters, then I take greater issue with that kind of hate.

I believe the fact that this liberal woman blogger is unattractive is extremely pertinent to her unleashed hatred toward Sarah Palin, thus supporting the theory presented in the article. It is one of her unspoken reasons for attacking Palin. I could be wrong, but I don’t think so. You’re upset, but because of what? About me pointing out that a fat woman who is not attractive is what she is – I used the kindest words possible to describe her, but still wanted to make my point by describing her accurately (you’ll notice I never ONCE said in the article that she was ugly or a crone nor did I ever call her any of the names liberals might choose, such as a cow or a pig or a dog or whatever else nasty thing they can fling). You’re upset about a “sneer” at an unknown woman whom I’ve not identified, but you’re not too upset about the tasteless, baseless, hurtful garbage flung at a woman I respect, as do millions of others, Sarah Palin (and now her children, thanks to Letterman) every single day? My sneer (if there was a sneer) was more for the blogger’s venom-spewing, vindictive behavior at Palin… I believe her looks contribute to the motivation for that dysfunctional behavior. If she were writing about Palin’s qualities, then her self-image would not be so obviously fragile. Not all overweight, average or below-average-looking people are angry, bitter, and obsessed with hate. Many are my friends or family members and they are wonderful people. They know they are fat, and don’t freak out or become angry or withdrawn or weepy if it is ever mentioned. It’s the truth, as much as it may hurt some people’s feelings — I say quit being a victim and either embrace your fat or lose your fat. Stating that someone is fat when they ARE fat is not in the same league at all to what Palin endures.

I do believe many physically attractive liberal women also hate Palin, but again, it’s mostly because they have low self-esteem and low-self image, not because of anything specific Palin did. Back again to jealously. Maybe fear, too. Everyone doesn’t have to agree with Palin’s policies or ideologies, but HATE? They actually HATE her? Wow, that’s scary.

I won’t say I’m sorry for saying that an overweight, unattractive woman is likely shoving Twinkies in her mouth… sorry for what? I stated facts about this one nasty female blogger who boasts about how much grief she is putting the Palin family through, brags about how she wants to bankrupt them and make them suffer. What a horrible woman… why do you feel compelled to defend her? Because she’s overweight? Nonsense. She has chosen to be what she is, and I choose to denounce her. I was polite to a fault about her looks in the article. Letterman and other liberal entertainers call Palin a whore… based on what? On any facts? No. It’s their hatred of her, not that she’s been proven to be unfaithful in her marriage. They call her a bitch… based on what? On facts? No. Her positive outlook on life? Her adoring husband? Her faith in God? They call her stupid, a yokel, a bimbo, a hick, a sadist, a racist, a bigot, a hypocrite, a floozy, trailer trash… must I go on? No truth or basis in fact in any of what they say… they just pick random negative or misogynist insults. I have no clue why except that they loath her for being who she is, an uplifting, energetic, honest, conservative woman. I showed FAR more courtesy than they have ever shown Sarah Palin. But I’m not patting myself on the back. People should not be so cruel and attack so much, but if they should attack, then by all means, I will fight back, not take it laying down, like a hapless doormat, if it is about someone I love or respect. I won’t start it, but I won’t be a mouse, either. Most conservatives don’t jump to negatively judge as quickly as liberals do. It’s the way we are. Not all, of course… there are some pretty nasty conservatives out there, too.

To address your last question… would I love Palin as much if she was as fat as my sisters, my brother, my friends? Of course I would. Wonder why you’d think I wouldn’t?

Would I love Sarah as much if she were shallow as liberals? No, I would not. The very fact that she isn’t shallow or angry or nasty or vindictive like liberals, that she is who is, is why I love Sarah Palin. Yes, she is attractive, but if she were a 300-pound troll with one leg and losing hair from chemo, and still exuded the patriotism, zest for life, love for God, and other qualities that I have seen of her and embrace her for, she could look like anything and I wouldn’t care. I WOULD NOT CARE. The outside isn’t Sarah Palin. But that’s just me. Society can indeed be cruel. Liberals can be the cruelest members of all in American society. I’m aware that overweight people can be tormented and devalued by some people in our society. But sometimes, those very same overweight people are responsible for dishing out the same torment because they are angry and jealous. Not all, of course.

Don’t be so quick to judge. Not all people are “fat prejudice.” And as you said, “not all of us fat people” are shoving in Twinkies and hating Palin. Dear heart, I’m one of the overweight people who LOVES Palin. If I can say I’m overweight, why are you so sensitive about this woman being called overweight? She is. You’re entitled to your opinion. But I don’t agree.

Just for few minutes, consider that many people instead judge others by character and personality and not their looks. And how that person makes you feel and think. Those who judge solely by appearances are often the same self-indulgent, nasty, insecure ones who also attack Sarah Palin.

I will never defend anyone, fat or thin, rich or poor, attractive or unattractive, Republican or Democrat, for any sadistic, unjustified, hateful treatment of someone I care about. I’m tenacious on that kind of thing, I truly despise it. And if that person just happens to be fat, I’m going to flat-out say so if it’s relevant. Which it is with the Alaskan blogger and her deranged vendetta against the Palin family.

I hope that cleared up your concerns and questions, and if not, can’t say that I didn’t give it a valiant shot.

      God bless. :)

This is one of the best posts I’ve read on this about Sarah Palin. Being ugly or overweight has nothing to do with th e hate of Sarah, but it sure does play a big part in how a person can hate themself and then do the terrible thing s they do to her. Makes you think.
Good job – keep up the good work! (And i am also overweight, so I know how sensitive some fat people are about being heavy)
