Keith Olbermann: ‘Reagan’s Dead and He Was a Lousy President’

Does anyone still watch this tedious, pompous clown?
On Wednesday’s “Countdown” show, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann responded to an Ohio Republican quoting Ronald Reagan by mocking Reagan as “dead,” and calling him a “lousy President.”
After reading a quote from Warren County, Ohio, commissioner Mike Kilburn proclaiming his intention not to use any of the federal stimulus money on his county, as he quoted Reagan’s famous line that “government is the problem,” Olbermann shot back: “Uh, Commissioner Kilburn, Reagan’s dead and he was a lousy President.”
Pssst, Keith. I’m sure Commissioner Kilburn and most of America know that Reagan is dead. Stating the obvious in that snotty, elitist tone of yours isn’t cute and isn’t intellectual. It’s annoying and geeky. Have you checked your show’s ratings lately? They’re heading out to sea like the afternoon tide. Might want to stop being so annoying for starters.
Just couldn’t let a week go by before you shot off your lunatic mouth and offended millions of Americans again, eh, Keith? Had to make a lame joke about a dead man. A well-respected man, a revered American icon. Classy.
Did you blow milk out your nose when you were in high school, too? Scribble any mustaches and goatees on the Mona Lisa in art history books? But, you’re such a buzzing little gnat, soon to be unemployed by your manic ravings and low ratings, that, heck, I can’t even get riled at you for your obviously cheap potshot at Reagan.
You’re desperately trying to be relevant… and bombing. Ask what few viewers remain if they agree. Sad, really.
And the fact that you still have a job on television tells me that there is indeed a God with a sense of humor. Reagan was a lousy president? Can’t wait to hear who you think wasn’t lousy… Millard Fillmore?
When my kids are in a lighthearted argument, and one of them is losing it, he or she says, “So’s your face.” It’s a line from an episode of Scrubs. With the right intonation, this stupid statement is kinda funny. And less desperate sounding than “Reagan was a lousy president.” Give it a shot. You’re welcome.
You seem more desperate and angry than normal these days, Keith, losing your edge. You’re more ON the edge now. Like you thought agreeing last week with that hate-filled, bigoted liberal zealot Janeane Garofalo about conservatives at tea parties being racists was the cool thing to do. Did that make you more popular with Sean Penn and Cher? No? With the show’s producers? Shucks, too bad, dude. And when will you bring your “Ivy League” college diploma into the studio again? Don’t want to miss that, especially if Ann is back in town… LOL.
Send in the clowns…
Back in May 2008, the conservative radio host and Constitutional lawyer Mark Levin demanded that Olbermann be suspended or fired because of his disgraceful attacks on our US soldiers and then-President Bush. Click here to read the entire thing at NewsBusters. Here’s a portion of Mark’s demand:
“NBC clings to this bitter, little know-nothing because he gets ratings from the far left in this country. The hate America, commie-left. They tell everybody, “Watch Olbermann, watch Olbermann.” And so he plays to them, he panders to them.
I see the hair-splitting going on. The fact is, if he were to compare any American to al-Qaeda terrorists, it’s so over the top. And yet to do it in the context of the United States military. I know what he’s talking about. I’m not going to have the spin fly here, I can tell you that. It is so grotesque. And I am demanding that MSNBC say something about this, do something about this because Keith Olbermann is basically Tokyo Rose in a suit.”
To fill in any Frugal Café readers who aren’t in on the Olbermann Ivy League college joke, here is the hilarious, destined-to-be-a-classic clip from Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld; Greg talks with conservative author Ann Coulter about her March 4 column (click here to read the archived column, it’s brilliant) that stated that Olbermann needed to stop telling everyone he went to an Ivy League school when, in fact, he did not. Olbermann was REALLY, REALLY upset about that column. If you’re a fan of Olbermann’s, you may not want to watch this video. If you detest Olbermann, enjoy!
Memorable quote:
Ann: “Isn’t it a little strange that he received a Communications degree from an Ag and Life Sciences college?”
Greg: “Yeah, it’s like buying a used bowling trophy and putting it on your mantle and saying ‘I bowled like a 280.’”
To Bill Maher: let Olbermann serve as a cautionary tale…
