Obama, Was Janeane Garofalo Too Busy to Mock Law-Abiding Americans, So YOU Gave It Your Best Shot? | Karl Rove Video on 100 Days of Obama

Tea party attendees on April 15 (and all other tea parties that are still being held throughout America) are a rich rainbow of people… all races, colors, ages, party affiliations, religions, sexual preference.

POTUS mocks tea party protesters at town hall meeting... you're a class act, Mr. President
So, tax protest tea party attendees comprise a broad mix of folks; they are the vegetables and meat and broth and herbs of the “soup” of America. This country has always welcomed the world’s oppressed and millions of immigrants have added to the soup mix for more than two centuries.
But patriots don’t always receive the respect they deserve. Or, have some of you already forgotten Janeane Garofalo? Click here and here and here for three Frugal Café commentaries about this miserable, angry, radical liberal who hates anything that even hints at having conservative values; to Garofalo, all tea party protest attendees are racists, not patriots. And, anyone of color who attends a tax protest is a sell-out or part of the Eva Braun fan club. And I’m not using the word “hate” figuratively. SHE HATES.
In the Age of Obama, “transparency” doesn’t mean “transparency.” “Cutting out all pork” doesn’t mean “cutting out all pork.” “Not raising taxes” doesn’t mean “not raising taxes.” And if you’re sworn to be a temporary steward to protect and uphold the US Constitution and the American people, well… fuhgettaboutit.
From Politico (videos embedded on site):
Obama targets tea bags at town hall
At his 100th-day town hall meeting in St. Louis Wednesday, President Barack Obama took direct aim at the anti-tax “tea party” demonstrations that have cropped up over the last month and took a veiled shot at the Fox News Channel, the cable news network closely associated with the protests.
Asked about fiscal discipline and entitlements reform, Obama seemed to be repressing a smile as he jabbed critics of his spending plans. “Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I’m not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.”
“But,” Obama continued, “let’s not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act.”
It’s the president’s most direct response so far to the protests that flared up in some locations around tax day, on April 15.
In his briefing that day, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters: “I don’t know if there’s a specific response to protests… I think you saw the president today talk about as candidate Obama promising to bring a tax cut to 95 percent of working families in America, and as president delivering that tax cut.”
Class act. And, I must ask, WHAT tax cut? If you mean the $13 a month extra I’m bringing home for the next few months, but will lose when your other taxes kick in gear, you must think we are dense.
Whatever happened to your offer for a “serious discussion” anytime with anyone who disagrees with your policies, Mr. President? Oh, wait, it’s the Age of Obama. Right…
Wish he’d gone golfing instead.

UPDATE: Rush Limbaugh Comments on Obama’s Dislike of Tea Party Protesters | April 29, 2009
This is a man who supposedly has great political instincts, correct? Barack Obama. But this is a bitter clinger moment here. He’s looking at you people that went to the tea parties, and he doesn’t like you at all, “waving tea bags around, let me just remind them I’m happy to have a serious conversation about how we are –” You know, he’s not president of all the people. I mean, he’s cold, and he’s partisan. It’s going to start trickling out. Things that irritate him, he’s going to eventually let it be known how irritated he is. He says let’s “have a serious conversation about how we’re going to cut our health care costs over the long term.” …But the tea parties were not even about health care. The tea parties were about his irresponsible spending, his irresponsible growth of government, his irresponsible power grab over individual liberty and freedom.

Here are a few responses to the Garfalo remarks from well known conservatives:
http://www.hootervillegazette.com/Garofalo.html
At a certain point this administration is going to hit it’s knees.
They are more and more open to attack on their policies.
Eventually, hopefully, Americans will wake up and smell the stink.
2010 will be the chance to at least take congress back.
Sites like this, and Michelle’s and vetsonthewatch.com are striving to bring some sense from this crap that is being shoved down our throats.
AFVET, thank you, as always, for your supportive comments. This blog is still pretty young in the blogosphere, and to lump it in with the conservative wit and wisdom of Michelle Malkin and Vets On The Watch is a huge compliment to me. There are many others: Hot Air, Gateway Pundit, Jim Blaszik, Big Hollywood. Of course, reading the Drudge Report every day (several times a day, if possible) is an imperative. People need to read a bit every day on these and other conservative sites to get the whole, real picture of what is happening in Washington. Knowledge is power.
I think Americans are indeed waking up… even if the MSM isn’t reporting it and bizarre polls show Pres. Obama’s approval rating up through the roof (but I must ask, WHOSE roof?)
Mark Levin’s “Liberty and Tyranny” is still the Number 1 top dog on the bestsellers list… it’s now been 5 weeks in a row. My back-ordered copy just came in. Guess what I’ll be doing over the weekend? LOL
Keep the faith, AFVET, and let freedom ring!
Obambi just keeps stepping in it, doesn’t he. LOL – he really is clueless about what the tea parties were about.
Love the post
