Leapfrogging powers! Henry the Frog, aka House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, says he will leapfrog the climate change subcommittee to speed up the vote

To speed up the passage of the complicated and controversial climate change bill, House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman has decided it takes too long for a subcommittee to discuss and write and carefully hone the tricky bill. Gotta get it done NOW.

So, ribbit-ribbit-ribbit… it’s time for Henry the Frog’s AMAZING LEAPFROG POWERS!

Just jump over the collection of minds that are on the climate change subcommittee, cancel all future debates, and charge ahead to your self-imposed end-of-the-month deadline to ram the climate bill through… what could possibly go wrong?

Not that rushing through a controversial bill that will drastically affect the day-to-day lives and the disposable incomes of all Americans, without the panel fully discussing and debating all the countless pros and cons, or even just READING it all the way through, will ever have any dire or stupid consequences, right, Henry?

Nothing like that has happened recently in Congress, right, Henry? Who needs prudent, intelligent debate from our elected officials on raising government taxes when, by gosh by golly, we have you, Henry the Frog and your leapfrogging talents?

Ribbit.

For details, visit Michelle Malkin’s blog: Waxman shortcircuits debate to ram eco-taxes through Congress and Support the Cap-and-Trade Tax Disclosure Act.

For Malkin’s update on yesterday’s post, this post is very informative, in that it cites a growing number of Democrat leaders who are expressing their issues with Waxman’s anti-citizen global warming / climate change bill because it now is becoming clear that it will, in fact, despite Obama’s assurances that it wouldn’t, seriously impact the finances of residents in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, and other states with its huge increase in their energy taxes; a definite must-read: Why the national eco-tax is in trouble.

On a different story on the same topic, Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters has just reported the following eye opener: Gallup Poll Editor: Al Gore Is Losing Global Warming Debate.

For another amusing news piece by Noel, read Al Gore Got a D in Natural Sciences at Harvard. This is the guy who is the liberal spearhead of the global warming/climate change debacle movement? Isn’t that, uh, science? And didn’t he almost fail his natural sciences class? To further dogpile on Gore, read this Washington Post piece from March 2000″ Gore’s Grades Belie Image of Studiousness – His School Transcripts Are a Lot Like Bush’s.

More Americans are no longer buying into the doom and gloom climate change/global warming bunk. Al Gore is losing his fan base; after all, thousands of environmental scientists and climate experts disagree with him (and they didn’t earn D’s in their science courses). It doesn’t help the “global warming” myth that the ice caps are growing.

Maybe your timing to be that wild cavalier frog with your leapfrogging isn’t a good idea right now, Henry. Maybe you should actually do your job as originally planned with the subcommittee and do it properly—it will affect financially every single person in this country and most of them are already cynical about global warming and climate change. And cynical about Congress. And worried about the economy and being unemployed. Stuff like that.

It seems a bad idea to develop this sensitive bill with the same level of professionalism and focus that a teenage kid demonstrates in doing his or her homework during the last week of school with a raging case of summer fever.

Try this on for size, instead, you dumb froghead: Do the job properly and responsibly. It’s our money, it’s our country. You’re the committee chairman, Henry, so act like it. Come election time, you could be voted out.

Ah, heck, those liberal amphibians never listen to me.

    This crap is unbelievable.

First of all I am against the pro-choice agenda.
Every life has a right to live.

    HOWEVER !

Waxman could be the poster child for the pro-choice movement.

    Nuff said !!

Doesn’t matter who proposes or supports it at this point. I had a buddy guest-post over on Finding Ponies who noticed that a lot of the environmental analysis regulations going into place are measuring the impact of emissions requirements already in the books. I’m also not sure about the transparency regs the Repubs are trying to put in place… they could serve to stifle innovation at the energy companies even as they protect them. Request to government: please, just be quiet and stay away for a while, it’ll fix itself.
