Trouble on Dem ‘Fantasy Island’: Specter Is Freaking Everyone Out | UPDATE on Specter’s Shady Fundraising Website

Last week, the liberal pundits and congressional Democrats were cackling with joy, laughing ’til tears streamed at the GOP, predicting eternal victories for the Democrat Party now that Arlen “Turncoat” Specter announced he was switching from Republican to Democrat. No more filibusters! No more GOP! No more bellyaching American conservative voices to contend with, to marginalize, to mock. A long road of socialist prosperity was leading to the elusive Democrat “Fantasy Island,” where liberal dreams always come true and pina coladas are always served with those cute little paper umbrellas.
Ah, the heady aroma of Democrat victory was thick and liberal bloggers were going hog-wild, applauding Specter and his sudden choice to be on “the winning side.” The pending removal of the burden of pretending to care about those tedious checks and balances established by our founding fathers… for decades to come… was positively intoxicating for them.
Now, they’re not so giddy with joy. Specter is freaking them out.
Karma is pretty sweet.
SNAFU - Pennsylvania's Arlen Specter is rocking the boat again... this time, for the Democrats
I guess enough huffing and puffing and screaming occurred behind closed doors about this, so despite Reid’s soothing assurances, Specter has been slapped down to rookie… he will be a junior Democrat. Senate stripped him of his seniority, after a unanimous voice vote. Ouch.
He’s telling the world that he, and he alone, with his revolutionary health care spending plans, could have saved beloved Jack Kemp’s life. If only the GOP had listened to him.
He’s not voting the way Democrats thought he would. You know, like a Democrat.
He has a new, rather shady website up that may be set up in an unscrupulous, potentially illegal way to solicit campaign contributions.

Specter has said several times, point blank and straight up, that the Republicans were responsible for Jack Kemp’s death.
Arlen, are you spending special “guy time” with Joe Biden these days? These wacky claims, gaffes, and missteps have Crazy Uncle Joe’s smudgy fingerprints all over them.
Keep it up, Arlen. I was sick to death faxing letters of indignation to your office and emailing you about your turncoat votes when you were on our side. Now, I don’t have to do that anymore… you’re the Democrats’ pain in the tush now. But, hey, good call on voting this week with the right. Funny how you had such a problem voting the party line when you were a Republican. SNAFU.
