Last week, it was Oprah giving out coupons for free 2-piece chicken dinners at KFC (which suffered a number of problems, but I still give Oprah a hearty thumbs-up for her generous intentions to help others). This week it’s an announcement for “Freebie Wednesdays” at Arby’s from now until August 26. For the die-hard frugalista in me (and most Frugal Café readers), it’s like we’re “somewhere over the rainbow” with the sudden “food freebies” helping out financially struggling American families these days.
From twirlit:
The one upside to this Recession is the plethora of free items that seem to be popping up everywhere. Actually, to be honest, its fabulous. The latest Fast food company to give away free items is Arby’s, best known for their roast beef sandwiches, popcorn chicken, and curly fries. This summer, Arbys is promoting “Freebie Wednesdays,” where each Wednesday throughout the summer, you can take advantage of deals from Roastburgers to Orange Cream Swirl Shakes.
Today, May 13, is free Roastburger Day. Go to the Arby’s website to print out that important coupon for this new menu item (you’ll also have to register to become a member; be sure to read all the rules in fine print). A purchase is required of something of lesser cost, like a soft drink, to qualify for all Arby’s Wednesday Freebies.
Here’s a calendar of Arby’s Freebie Wednesday items, from John Matarese at Cincinnati’s Channel 9 News, “Don’t Waste Your Money”:

Who knows… maybe Obama and Biden will venture out again for another “regular guys on a lunch date” at the Arby’s nearest the White House. Stranger things have happened.
And, maybe, just maybe, Arby’s will consider carrying Dijon mustard in addition to its popular Horsey Sauce.

Thanks Arbys! My husband and I love saving money. We really like the chicken and roastbeef sandwiches. Thanks for posting the calendar for Arby’s free burgers.
