Bill Maher: Angry with Liberals, Angry with Conservatives – Just Angry at Everyone

Most conservatives I know usually “go with the flow.” We don’t all agree on all issues all the time. And that’s good, because there are so many volatile, complex issues out there and we’re all, hey, individuals. Conservatives intuitively understand this. Which is why so few actually get riled up, make signs, and get out and protest like liberals do all the time. The tea party protests on April 15 threw the liberal mainstream media into a tizzy when thousands of Americans (not all conservatives, but a good majority) did it.

You never hear the media mock or attack Code Pink or environmental groups or ACORN when they protest or break the law (like encouraging people to illegally break into the homes that they lost through foreclosure). That’s because it’s in a liberal’s nature to whine, complain, bend or break the rules, and stage angry protests. When conservatives do it, even if the protests are lawful and peaceful, watch out!

Sure, there are intolerant conservatives. Some conservatives can be downright mean and stupid. Some misconstrue and bastardize the teachings of Jesus Christ.

But, in my experience, these malcontents are in the minority. Most conservatives are genuinely flexible people, nice people. Most respect the American right to “be true to yourself” unless you’re breaking the law or harming others. Many are Christians who believe in “turning the other cheek.” And none of the Christians I know are racists (just had to get that out there).

But not in the liberal world. How hard it must be for liberals to always remember who they’re angry with, who they must marginalize, who they hate, within the “liberal hugfest world.”

Perez Hilton hates Miss California Carrie Prejean, a Christian conservative, for voicing her views on same-sex marriage. He has attacked her relentlessly for it, as many liberals in Hollywood are STILL doing. But, illogically, Hilton does not hate Pres. Barack Obama, a Christian liberal, for voicing the SAME views on same-sex marriage.

Hmmm, what’s with that?

Hilton has never said a harsh word against Obama, of course not.

Which is it, you vicious, hypocritical moron: Hate the message or just hate the messenger? It’s OK to be firmly against gay marriage if you’re a Democrat and living in the White House? If you’re not a Dem or a statist, then it’s attack-attack-attack the conservatives (especially if it’s a young Christian beauty queen contestant, because maybe she won’t come after you in the dead of night packing a baseball bat) or Republicans for their “homophobia”? Just trying to figure it all out, Perez… the lack of logic or consistency is frustrating. Although, not really. That would suggest that I actually care. For nanoseconds at a time, I guess I might. And then, it passes.

Liberal extremists have such wobbly moral compasses, we all need to accept and get used to that. No logic, no stability, “hate for hate’s sake, for now anyway” seems to be the modus operandi.

Bill Maher (from this point forward, “Bill-Mo”) is another prime (as in “getting old and past relevance”) example.

One minute, the aging, liberal political comedian is babbling all sorts of nonsense about Sarah Palin not being Baby Trig’s mother, is gnashing his teeth about Dick Cheney being crazy, then next minute, Bill-Mo’s frothing about liberals being too politically correct if they don’t laugh at his jokes. He’s been angry, really angry, for a decade now. Guess Bill-Mo just hates EVERYONE who doesn’t agree with him or his comedy 100 percent. He thinks he’s too sophisticated for most folks to appreciate. *eye roll*

Sad, sad existence, Billy-boy. Like I’ve said in the past, you used to be relevant. And you used to be funny. Some college kids still think you’re kinda funny. But, they only recently stopped laughing at flatulence jokes, so who’s kidding who?

Snippet from a CNN interview, posted on Founding Bloggers:

MAHER: It tells me that we get a very supersensitive liberal audience. You know, I mean, this is one reason I always have trouble doing charity events. I’m all for charity, but the events — you know, it’s always that limousine liberal crowd that just has their finger on the politically correct button. You know, they’re just ready to — ooh. Yeah. That’s what bugs me the most about liberals is that they just — they object before they even know what they’re objecting to.

KURTZ: Aren’t these your people, Bill?

MAHER: No, not when they do that. I’m much more of a — you know, I’m a free speech person. And I would say especially on campuses in the last 10 or 15 years, the repression of speech has come more from the left.

I agree with him about freedom of speech being stifled by liberals (the current through-the-back-door cloning of the Fairness Doctrine, for example, and the current policy of some major universities to penalize Christian students from gathering or praying). It’s refreshing to hear a liberal speak out against other liberals for repressing free speech. But heck, next week, Bill may capriciously change his mind and blame George W. Bush for something and want to take away his right to freedom of speech.

Ah, but, wait, Bill-Mo already did that, but it wasn’t in reference to Bush, it was about denying former vice president’s Dick Cheney’s freedom of speech only two weeks ago:

“I’m speechless, which is more than I can say for Dick Cheney. Dick Cheney will not shut the f**k up. He’s all over. He’s on Fox News, he’s on ‘Face the Nation,’ he’s on every radio show. Today, he was on ‘Oprah’ complaining John Edwards cheated on him. He’s everywhere. Remember the good ol’ days when the guy who got tortured did the talking?”

So much for your deep sincerity to support freedom of speech, you bitter, old, fading-fast, smirky hypocrite. “Freedom of speech” only applies to issues Bill Maher agrees with or wants to mock publicly. Just like all the other left-wing extremists. Otherwise, stop talking now.

Left-wing extremist statists, especially those in the entertainment biz, are unreliable when it comes to standing firm with an issue if they become unpopular for it. They never want to be on the “wrong side” of anything, so they flip-flop quickly if they sense they aren’t hanging out with the majority, with “the cool kids.” And there is always that underlying hate. Be on guard for that. Even when they’re smiling, hate is bubbling just below the pseudo-calm surface.

That’s what drives so many of them crazy about Christians. True Christians will stand firm and not be wobbly about their faith, even when smacked silly for their beliefs by vicious liberals. Liberals are never as steadfast to a belief system or a religious faith as conservatives are. If you don’t believe me, just watch 5 minutes of The View. Or listen to any other Hollywood liberal extremist, like David Letterman or Keith Olbermann, Janeane Garofalo or Sean Penn or Rosie O’Donnell rant and bash uncontrollably against conservatives or Christians for just 5 minutes. Then ask them if Barack Obama is a Christian. They simmer down, become almost angelic, forget their previous outrage, and wax philosophically about POTUS.

Scary. But good to know.

Great piece about Christian-bashing from Steven Crowder, Big Hollywood: Lonewolf Diaries: All Christians are Serial Killers.

UPDATED, May 29: Absolutely funniest description I’ve ever read of Bill-Mo. From Red Eye’s Greg Gutfeld posted on Big Hollywood: “…talk show host and Playboy grotto ghoul…” OK, maybe it doesn’t hit anyone else as all that “superlative-inspired hilarious” as it does me, but I loved it and am still grinning. Read Greg’s terrific tongue-in-cheek post on Bill-Mo: Daily Gut: Maybe I Should Change My Name. And no, Greg, don’t ever change your name. We love you just the way you are.

heres the bottom line…we need to pray for these lost and misinformed people like ganeane g and bill m,for not only are they more then likely blind to a moral idea of conservatizam, but may not know the true and living God that inspires most conservatives way of thinking and will at the end of thier lives have a real nite mare awakening of who the true and living God is that built this country on his strenght and power, they need our prayers to have thier eyes open to the truth least they be condemed to a life of wailing and gnashing of teeth for eternity, and i say that with a very burdened heart for these people, for in REALITY,when all politics is said and done, this will be thier bottom line inless we(true)conservative christans pray for them to see our true and living God for who he is….just saying
