Good for you, Elisabeth. It took immense courage to denounce Playboy magazine as you did here on national television. I wish I could undo the humiliation and violation that those perverted, misogynist monsters at Playboy have put you and nine other decent conservative women through. I want to vomit. You did not deserve this, and my flesh crawls thinking how I would feel if my name or a friend or family member’s name had been on that depraved list.

And, while they were slow to react, I commend National Organization of Women (NOW) for its strong statement denouncing the vile article posted on the Playboy website.

My understanding of the First Amendment, freedom of speech, does not protect the intent to incite or endorse violence. And violence against women is meant to demean and terrorize women and should be fought tooth and nail.

Stand strong, Elisabeth. The outcry against Playboy and its loathsome worm of a writer is getting louder and angrier. The support the American public is showing for you and the nine other women is heartening.

This is not a conservative nor liberal political issue. It is a HUMAN issue, and is evolving into a deafening demand for adherence of basic human rights and human dignity, as guaranteed by our American laws. Playboy has grievously and stupidly violated both, revealing its cold, misogynist objectification of women just to make a buck.

Laughing at or encouraging rape, and particularly hate-rape, is unforgivable, rage-filled violence against all women. Rape is heinous and has no business ever being a punch line. Right, Sandra Bernhard? Right, Janeane Garofalo? Right, Bonnie Erbe?

There should be severe consequences for the magazine approving this article. Had the writer written and Playboy printed or posted “Top Ten Conservative Blacks We Want to Lynch” or “Top Ten Conservative Gays We Want to Castrate,” the justified outcry would be deafening and Playboy would be shut down in a heart beat for its homophobic hate and racism. But if it’s about conservative women, they think it’s hilarious.

Chilling hypocrisy.
