Some days are better than others. Today is one of the better days.
ACORN—Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now—has been indicted over and over again for voter registration fraud, registering thousands upon thousands of fake and dead people as Democrat voters. I’ve written about it a number of times. It is an absolute disgrace, which the MSM is ignoring (as usual).

Many verdicts of “guilty” have been rendered against ACORN recently, and there will be many more in the months to come. Also, there are other investigations being conducted into other ACORN criminal activities, as well as investigating the New York Times killing a story just before the presidential election that linked Barack Obama uncomfortably close to ACORN.

Kris Kobach, the former Bush administration national security/immigration enforcement official and constitutional lawyer, announced that he will run for Kansas Secretary of State last week. His prime motivation: stopping the ACORN racket.
Kris Kobach’s desire to be Kansas Secretary of State can be summed up in one word:
“ACORN,” he told a modest audience that gathered Thursday for lunch at Salina’s Western Sizzlin’ restaurant.
Salina is one of eight cities Kobach, who until recently was chairman of the Kansas Republican Party, is visiting to announce his desire to be secretary of state.
ACORN — the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now — is an aggressive get-out-the-vote organization that represents low- and moderate-income people nationally. “Since 1970, ACORN has been building community organizations that are committed to social and economic justice,” its Web site says.
Kobach describes it differently. “ACORN is a criminal enterprise,” he said Thursday.
He said 12 ACORN workers in Missouri were convicted of violating voter laws in connection with 2006 elections.
Voter fraud was the central theme of Kobach’s campaign stop. He warned of the “rise of ACORN” and said it was only after the November election that he learned ACORN has three offices in Kansas.
“We didn’t find out until after the election how busy they have been in Kansas,” he said.
ACORN’s Web site lists offices in Kansas City, Topeka and Wichita. None of the telephone numbers listed works, nor do the e-mail addresses.
Kobach said he plans to push for a photo identification law, which would require voters to present an approved photo ID before they vote. He also wants to require that people prove they are citizens before they are allowed to register to vote.
It has sickened me for months that this mob-like organization, calling itself a benevolent “community organization,” not only is getting away with rampant fraud and is thumbing its nose at the Constitution, but we, the taxpayers, will be giving ACORN a huge cash increase on a silver platter so that it can escalate its operation through the country.
We aren’t just now finding out about ACORN. Its fraud activities have been prevalent in a number of states and were exposed months before the election. But the MSM chose to not investigate and many efforts were made to strong-arm and squash discoveries.
In the state of Georgia, Attorney General Holder and the DOJ said just this week that even though it has been proven that voter fraud occurred during the presidential election, no efforts to further investigate will be taken, thus undermining Georgia’s voter verification rules. The Georgia secretary of state explained the following:

Is this total insanity? Throw out the voter verification rules? Let ACORN do whatever they frickin’ well want, laws be damned? Let NON-CITIZENS vote in Georgia? Are we in Cuba or Venezuela?
Pres. Barack Obama was the primary impetus for ACORN being chosen for getting $5 – 8 billion from the stimulus/porkulus package.
This huge payday to ACORN and its affiliates would pretty much guarantee that the GOP would be annihilated in every election, all checks and balances our founding fathers wanted for the country would be down the toilet, and power-hungry Democrats would rule the country indefinitely through increased fraud in elections (more money, more fraud). You and I and all taxpaying Americans would be the suckers paying for it.
But, madness and power-grabs like these often reach a red-alert level, and that’s when sanity will come barreling in. Like now, with Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and her petition to protect America and American taxpayers.

Rep. Michele Bachmann has introduced the Taxpayer Protection and Anti-Fraud Act, which would restrict access to taxpayer dollars available through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for groups that have been indicted for violations of state or federal laws.
Almost 5,000 citizens at this point have registered their support for the bill available through Bachmann’s online site, according to her press office. This is not getting any coverage on any of the major news networks, although Washington Examiner is covering it in the print media.
You can make your voice heard and stop ACORN from getting the $8 billion that Obama and Democrats pushed to have added to the taxpayer stimulus bill.
