Well said, Greg. And so true. Palin has more business and governance talent in her pinkie finger than most of these liberal weasels in Washington have in their entire bodies. And this is why they fear her... fear that she will galvanize conservatives who will vote them out of office. For that reason, they must target, attack, marginalize, mock her at every opportunity. Comparing her to Britney Spears is a typical liberal attack, trying to grasp at straws... and very ignorant.

Palin is more like Condeleeza Rice, I think, than Britney Spears.

Now, if someone out there wants to compare Nancy Pelosi to the Wicked Witch of the West, I have no objections.

It sounds to me as if MO Inkslinger hasn't seen much of Sarah Palin. Maybe he should google Palin's statement about 0bama's reduction of the missile defense budget, maybe he should read the editorials in Investors Business Daily regarding her energy policy, maybe he should listen to her state of the state addresses for 2008 and 2009. Maybe he should listen to the speech she made at the Seward House in Auburn, or the Right to Life event in Evansville, and actually get some facts, before he makes a judgement obviously based solely on the carefully constructed image of her by the MSM.

With all due respect, I disagree.

Palin is overseeing Alaska's state budget far better than the governors of California and New York. The state is not suffering the same dire financial catastrophes from overspending that a majority of states in America are. What Palin lacks in Ivy League background, she makes up for in conservative savvy. One of her mantras is "Don't spend yourself into bankruptcy." You said you don't want to see perky Britney run the government nor Palin... what in the world has Palin been doing all this time in Alaska's government, then? And she's been doing quite well.

Palin is like Britney Spears? In what universe? To equate Palin to Britney Spears, who is a narcissistic, former party-girl high school dropout who has never gone to college, is a proven spendthrift, nor has she run a business (except the "Britney Business") nor has she ever been elected successfully to any office, is in gross error (and shows a lack of knowledge of either woman). Based merely on "perkiness" (and I know a lot of sharp, highly successful business women who are not sour and somber, but are upbeat and perky) seems like a narrow yardstick to measure anyone. You should look at their track record, at their accomplishments, their failures, their honesty, their humility. It you didn't, then it'd be like comparing Joe Biden's constant gaffes and blunders to Bozo the Clown or the village idiot and Barack Obama's reckless spending and stubbornness/immaturity to not listen to his economic advisers to a self-absorbed, rich college frat boy who is happliy reckless with Daddy's credit card and the keys to Daddy's sports car. Oh, wait, I have compared both of them to those. LOL

You don't have to like Palin, but to dismiss her as "fluff" is, IMHO, short-sighted. You're ignoring her many fiscally responsible, highly acclaimed accomplishments as a mayor and governor. She has a strong moral compass, which includes operating, to the best of her abilities, as a steward for the state of Alaska. Sure, she's made mistakes, who hasn't? But in the end, her mistakes have not cost citizens as much as those in more liberal states. Nor in this country, as the current administration is doing.

Concerning her "star power," isn't that what seduced a huge percentage of folks to vote for Barack Obama? And his applicable background was much closer to that of Britney's than Palin's was. Especially the spendthrift part.

I agree that Sarah Palin has star power, but so does Britney Spears and I would not want Britney running the government. Charming, perky and cute don't make a president. I'm wondering if she would not be better to run for Mother Theresa. This last election, we got the "Change" American voters wanted and look where we are now. I am a conservative and the more I see of Sarah Palin, the more I realize she is all fluff and no facts.

Sarah knows where she stands and isn't afraid to say it.

I didn't vote for John, I voted for Sarah.

She's got a strong backbone, I admire that, similar to my wife's.
