This comment, that Obama is above us all and is sort of God, made by Newsweek’s Evan Thomas, originally struck me as being just as creepy as Chris Matthews’ “tingly leg” declaration. And blasphemous. And barf-worthy.

I thought that Evan was a misguided statist, an Obama worshipper who deliberately chose to offend millions of conservative Christians with his inflammatory statement. After all, he didn’t say Obama was a “sort of” Allah or Buddha, did he?

But then, I thought about it for a bit and have drawn a new conclusion.

I’m suddenly impressed by Evan’s untapped intelligence. His ability to think outside the liberal MSM box is astounding.

Evan, the only kind of “god” that Obama could possibly be would be that of a “false god,” the damned “golden calf” kind of phony-baloney god decried in the Bible. The false god that, when worshipped by weak flip-flopping believers, would precipitate the fiery demise and gruesome doom of those misguided people.

Cool stuff in the Bible, Evan. I was not aware of your instincts in drawing biblical parallels. You’re absolutely right! You’re a genius, Evan, not a brainwashed drone, not a sycophantic moron!

Obama, a mere socialist mortal who has been elevated to deity-hood by millions, IS a “sort of” false god. Look at all the zombie-like worshippers who hang tenaciously onto his false god rhetoric, ignore his deception and trampling upon of the Constitution, are swept up by his vague flowery language of promises and utopia, close their eyes to his lack of pride in America and his clumsy attempts at rewriting history.

Good man, Evan… I never knew you had the guts nor cerebral acumen to dare speak any truth about POTUS. There IS hope and change for the mainstream media (*wiping a tear of joy from my eye*). Thank you, Evan. You’ve made a conservative Republican Christian a bit “hopeful for change.”
