And Letterman is not a well-adjusted person, to say the least. He’s got a lot of hangups and clearly has issues with women… probably due to the fact that
he was a friendless geek and major chick repellant in HS and college. And he clearly holds working-class women in contempt…. he insults them every night as if people with a real job are some sort of laughing stock.

These homely wierdos like Phil Spector who get famous and rich, then wonder why women don’t bow to them are always creepy and dangerous- just look at Letterman’s weird private life.

Time to hang it up Dave… your stale schtick is about as funny as a train wreck, you putz.

You know, I just found that out myself that Letterman had that baby out of wedlock – for some reason, I didn’t know that til yesterday. Here this lecherous man is making fun of this poor girl for months on TV, that Bristol is pregnant out of wedlock (she was only 17 when he started making jokes about her), but his live-in girlfriend has his child out of wedlock. They are now married, FINALLY, but if Bristol is a slut for being pregnant without a husband, what does that make his WIFE prior to him marrying her? Now he’s trying to backpedal that he didn’t mean the 14-year-old daughter was trashy and “knocked up,” he MEANT the 18-year-old daughter. What a piece of hypocritical garbage. Don’t even get me started on all the nasty “jokes” he’s made about Sarah Palin.

Notify sponsors of CBS and his show about boycotting their products… it’s one of the few ways to get their attention that we won’t accept this continued degradation of children and conservative women anymore.

The children of politicians are off limits, i.e. they did not decide to go into the political arena.

He SAYS now that he was talking about Bristol, but it was Willow who was at the baseball game with Sarah, and it was there that he said the daughter was knocked up. Bristol wasn’t ever there. Dave is squirming like a worm on a hook and trying to pull a “don’t pay attention to the man behind the curtain” switcheroo. Not buying it.

And once he made his long drawn-out explanation (yeah, a real tap dance, see video at David Letterman’s Stupid Blame-Dodging Tricks and read the article), but never an apology, then he turned around and made a joke about Bristol being a prostitute. Palin is defending the honor of her children, as any mother should. To say that SHE is the one who is in the wrong in this and is “exploiting” her children is ridiculous. If my children were attacked two days in a row by a worm, would I be compelled to smile and ignore it so as to not to “rock a boat”? I would be going after him far more vehemently than Sarah is. Why do liberals always find some sleazy way to make the constant attacks on her HER fault, just answer me that. She is blameless, her children are blameless, Letterman should be held accountable, but no… liberals like yourself want to whitewash the venom that he and others like him keep dishing out to the Palin family. Do you have children? If so, you should reevaluate your stance. If you don’t, you have NO idea how upsetting this would be to a parent.

And yes, liberals do fear her, because she is one candidate who hasn’t become jaded nor corrupted by politics. She galvanized the GOP, for what it was worth. Why do you think every liberal on God’s green earth keeps attacking her? They need to mock, marginalize, humiliate her so as to keep her “down” – how often are other conservative politicians attacked like this? Can you even name one (beside GW Bush) that Letterman constantly derides and mocks?

I would love to hear anyone make a joke about Biden’s drug addict daughter. Although, that would be a sad thing, since the children of politicians are suppose to be off limits. For liberals, the “off limits” condition only applies to Democrats. Double standard. Typical.

Palin’s kids are a target by Dems, and that’s despicable, no matter what is said about them. The fact that both times Letterman attacked their virtue/honor makes him just as much of a jackass as the writer for Playboy who listed the ten conservative women he thought should be “hate-raped.” Or do you think that’s OK, too, because they’re conservatives? And if a woman complains about this, would you then say they were “playing a stunt”?

I can’t believe you think it’s just bad taste of Letterman to mock her children, but exploitation for Palin to defend them… very hypocritical and insensitive.
