Carrie Prejean, on Being Fired by Miss California Pageant, ‘I Was Speechless’ | Sean Hannity Exclusive Video Interview
Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on June 12, 2009
All I can say is, Carrie, hang tough, hang strong.
This was the best thing to happen to you. You were doomed the moment that vicious gay tyrant/celeb slammer Perez Hilton asked you that politically volatile question a few months back. To be honest, I don’t think much of beauty pageants, but that’s just my opinion. Breaking free now, even though it’s unpleasant being fired, is good for you. There is a bigger plan for you than being just another California beauty queen.
Carrie Prejean: Sean Hannity Exclusive Interview, Reactions to Being Fired
Carrie Prejean has shown tremendous grace, control, and courage through all this (the attacks by the MSM, Hollywood liberals, and militant gays have been nonstop).
I never thought I’d say that I admire and respect a beauty queen for standing by her principles and her conservative values when it would have been really easy to not.
Yes, I’m saying it now, first time in my adult life… I admire and respect a beauty queen.
Until that loathsome piece of filth Hilton asked her that same-sex marriage question and then cursed her out and called her hateful, foul names on his website, she was just another pretty face in a sea of pretty faces. His vicious attack made her, for better or for worse, famous, a household name. Use your new found fame, Carrie. There is a lot of good you can do from your heart from this point forward.
The pageant officials were against this woman the moment she spoke (they started apologizing to the press as soon as the pageant ended). They’ve been hammering pageant owner Donald Trump until he simply was tired out. I think he copped out, but he’s a business man, and who knows what straw broke the proverbial camel’s back?
What unprofessional cowards to not contact Prejean first before notifying the media that they had fired her. A lot of class. Carrie Prejean was a victim of intolerance. Lawsuit time… but she’s better off without these Hollywood elitists. In a twisted way, Perez Hilton has just strengthened her to be a formidable, recognized opponent to gay marriage.
We’ll see how this all develops in the coming weeks. They claim you didn’t fulfill her Miss California obligations, her attorney says she did. It sounds like she was being pressured to do a reality show or pose semi-nude in Playboy, which would have violated her Miss California contract (at least, that’s how I understand it). Is Prejean a scapegoat because of her position that marriage is between a man and a woman?
Oh, most definitely, YES. No doubt about it.

Shanna and Travis, happier times
From a previous Frugal Café post:
Former Playboy model and the co-director of Miss California USA, Shanna Moakler, by the way, said a few weeks ago that she was so upset with Trump and his decision to uphold Prejean’s First Amendment rights and the controversial photos that someone posted on the Internet, that she resigned, saying she no longer believed in the integrity of the Miss USA organization. DLTDHYOTWO.
Shanna Moakler, co-director of the Miss California USA Organization, stepped down from her position today. The news come one day after Donald Trump and the Miss USA organization decided that Miss California, Carrie Prejean, could keep her crown and remain runner up for the Miss USA title after the release of scandalous pictures and other controversies.
Story behind the story: It seems significant to note that Moakler, in addition to her stint as a Playboy model and Miss California USA co-director, is a former Miss USA winner and the on-again, off-again wife of Blink 182′s drummer Travis Barker. The couple starred together in the short-lived MTV reality series Meet the Barkers, a show about the adorable behind-the-scenes secrets to their marital bliss. The show was canceled, and the couple divorced in 2006. They reconciled in September 2008 after Barker survived a plane crash. The latest split, reported to the media in April 2009, occurred after Barker accused Moakler of having an affair with 300 star Gerard Butler while he was recovering in the hospital, Us Weekly reported. Police were called after a fight broke out between them, according to a source, but no charges were filed.
Moakler’s not-so-chaste background, her unstable relationship with Barker, and her rash decision to quit because of Trump’s stance to support Prejean is either “much ado about nothing” or some other odd “drama queen” response against the Miss USA organization. A flood of long-time anger from Moakler is bubbling over, which makes it seem that there’s much more about her quitting (or threatening to quit) than currently meets the eye.
