Wanting to Go Beyond Regular Boycott for Willow Palin Joke? David Letterman’s Soft Spot… Write to Rahal-Letterman Racing Sponsors

I came across a fascinating piece on Hot Air this morning. Droves of people are flocking to FireDavidLetterman.com to lodge their complaints and write letters of intended boycott to Letterman’s TV show sponsors for his loathsome joke about Palin’s 14-year-old daughter, Willow, being sexually assaulted by a major league baseball player.
There’s another avenue for submitting and expressing your disgust about David Letterman’s vile joke about Sarah Palin’s children, one that has escaped most bloggers’ attention, including my own attention. Racing sponsors.

…As as far as Letterman’s sponsors go, there is one angle nobody seems to be noticing. It’s Letterman’s off-air passion, his love, close to his heart.
It’s called Rahal-Letterman Racing.
A one team IndyCar league operation with Indy racing legend Bobby Rahal. They have also expanded into the American LeMans Series sports car endurance racing.
They are using the brand new BMW M3 race car.
BMWUSA has the team featured with their own section of the corporate website.The teams in both Indy and ALMS have other sponsorships, without which they cannot afford this very expensive hobby. It costs a lot to show up, much less be competing for a chance to win. I don’t know how Bobby Rahal feels about all of this, but it might be interesting to get him and the valuable sponsors he has lined up to go on the record.
In this economic environment, racing sponsorships are harder than ever to come by, and you can’t do much racing without them.

My attitude is that firing David Letterman is the only appropriate response and we need to continue until CBS gets rid of him. It would be one small step toward change. God bless.

Letterman is a slut and a jerk he should be fired. He hasn’t got the brains of mouse.
This is exactly why I do not watch Letterman, Leno, or any of the bunch, because they love to make fun of others situations. They are always on the attack, and enough is enough. How sad. Now we know why we have bulllies.
