Suspicious: WH Says “Obama’s Rhetoric Shouldn’t Be Taken Literally” Concerning Promise That Americans Can Keep Their Private Health Insurance

Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on June 19, 2009

Pres. Barack Obama, 'I said what? You could keep your private health care insurance? Really, I said THAT? Nah, I didn't really mean it.'

Pres. Barack Obama, 'I said what? You could keep your private health care insurance? Really, I said THAT? Nah, I didn't really mean it.'

Wow, it didn’t take long for a “pay no attention to that shyster behind the curtain” moment, did it? It’s a Chicago back-alley shell game, with our health and health care insurance and our choice of medical providers and trillions of taxpayer dollars, all being shuffled about under walnut shells… very suspicious. And troubling.

What’s with Prez BHO saying one thing one day, and the next day, it turns out to not be true? In our family’s house, we call that LYING. In the White House, it’s “rhetoric that shouldn’t be taken literally.”

Rescue me from this crap…

Heritage Foundation: Obama Walks Back Promise On Keeping Your Private Insurance
By Mike Gonzales
June 19, 2009

Less than 24 hours after Heritage Foundation President Ed Feulner questioned the veracity of President Obama’s persistent claim that, under his health care proposals, “if you like your insurance package you can keep it”, the White House has begun to walk the President’s claim back. Turns out he didn’t really mean it.

According to the Associated Press, “White House officials suggest the president’s rhetoric shouldn’t be taken literally: What Obama really means is that government isn’t about to barge in and force people to change insurance.”

How’s that for change you can believe in?

Depending on how the public plan is designed in Congress, millions of Americans would lose their existing coverage. By opening the public plan to all employees and using Medicare rates, the Lewin Group, a nationally prominent econometrics firm, has said that the public plan could result in 119.1 million Americans being transitioned out of private coverage, including employer based coverage, into a public plan. With employers making the key decision, millions of Americans could lose their private coverage, regardless of their personal preferences in this matter.

When was the last time Washington passed major legislation, costing nearly $2 trillion dollars, overhauling a major sector of our economy that didn’t change our lives?

Oh yeah, TARP.

I just want see one thing, their bedroom in the White House.

I’ll bet both of them hang upside down while sleeping, all the while formulating another method to SUCK THE BLOOD and the SPIRIT OUT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND THE ECONOMY !!!

I never thought the comment above would come from me.
