Too Upsetting for Commentary: Bloodshed in Iran vs. Obama’s Ice Cream Parlor Trip

I’m unable to muster even a tiny bit of wit or sarcasm on this story as it pertains to our president… and his indifference. Silence is complicity, Mr. President.
This Twitter contrast on Hot Air of the terror ensuing today in Iran, of droves of people being shot at and gunned down, opposite Pres. Obama’s happy little trip for ice cream with his daughters, leaves me weak… and angry and dumbfounded.
Maybe tomorrow, I can write a commentary. Now, right now… I simply can’t. I’m too dismayed and sickened.

Every day people are killed around the world in terrible circumstances. Does this mean President Obama should never take his children out for ice cream. And if he shouldn’t, perhaps we shouldn’t either…

But this was one of the more extraordinary circumstances of people being killed by their own tyrannical government because they protested a corrupt election – they just wanted a recount, which was denied them. A historical revolt by the Iranian people against a corrupt dictatorship that ran a corrupt election is far different than other events – how many other dictatorships are being protested by their people on any given day? Iranians had been begging Obama to support them and their cries for freedom and human rights have been pretty much ignored. And even though Obama knew of the planned stand off and the time it was to begin, chose that specific time to take his kids out to ice cream. It’s highly suspect.
You need to read more about this – it’s not just the ice cream, but it’s about the volumes that it says about the leader of the United States of America. We don’t condone tyranny in America. And no, we don’t want to meddle in any country’s elections, even though this one was a blatant sham. But Obama was silent for days, and even on the announced day of the violence of the government against the people if they continued to protest, and the anticipated bloodshed of citizens, was silent for most of the day. Not good.
Susan, Obama knew the people were going to protest and Ahmadinejad and Khomeni had threatened them the day before. They said they were losing patience with them & that they needed to stop being upset and just go home and let them get back to being oppressors. They had cheated on teh election and the people wanted them to do a recount, but they said no and that’s when all hell started breaking loose. All communication that the regime can shut down in Iran that is critical of the government has been shut down – information is being sneaked out, and Twitter has been the only reliable source of communication. Imagine if our government decided to shut down our phones, our television, our cable, our Internet. This is tyranny, something America does not condone. This is what is going on in Iran, and rather than make an attempt to monitor the violence ensuing from Iran at the time of the scheduled protest, Obama acted like it was a typical Saturday for a regular joe, not the president.
You have no idea what kind of oppression these people are living under, NO idea. If you did, you would not have written such a thing. Obama needs to get his act together and act like the leader of the greatest nation in the world. He’s failing.
They had been protesting all week in Iran, and it was escalating. On the day of the predicted attack on the Iranian people, 4 PM Sat., everyone knew it would be violent and there would be lives lost, but he just decided a photo op, with him and his daughters having ice cream in Virginia, would be more fun and look better in the newspaper. These people want FREEDOM, Susan – don’t you get it???? And Obama had friggin’ ice cream with photographers all around. Why do you think that’s OK? If it weren’t for everything else that he’s been doing, maybe I wouldn’t be this p*ssed off. He’s a narcissist.
I don’t know much about what is going on in Iran, but I’ve been reading a lot today and it seems like Obama doesn’t really care. I can’t believe he is so casual about the world he claims he wants to have live in peace. I do know tht the election is the problem and that the people are sick of being oppressed with the dictatorship. The going for ice cream with Sasha and Malia is ridiculous. Remember when Hillary Clinton asked during the primaries who you would want to answer the ‘red phone’ at 3 am when there was a national emergency? I’m scared that Obama will answer an d probably say he’s too tired, to call back later. This man is no leader and more people I know have less and less confidence in him.

This is a revolution and he decides ice cream is the best course of action. Wonder what he’s going to do when North Korea shoots off its missiles near Hawaii? Have someone fly in from Chicago to make pizza? Oh, wait, he already did that… at the cost to us of about $10,000 a slice.
I think he was sending a message to Ahmadinejad, showing his support for him by saying nothing, doing nothing. I know he did finally talk to the press, but I’m guessing he was probably pressured into doing it. Letting Tony Hawk skateboard in teh White House is idiotic. This guy is a nut case.
When GW Bush was golfing one day in 2007, the press tried interviewing him about terrorism. No big news that day, not like North Korea was shooting off missiels or Iran was having a protest with people being gunned down by the military. The liberal press attacked Bush for days about golfing and Letterman kept playing the clip of him hitting the golf ball. Now, if Obama want’s ice cream and people are being gunned down and dying in Iran during a protest or if No. Korea defies everyone and shoots missiles and Obama is out golfing, the libs are fine with that. Not OK with Bush golfing, though – Obama walks on water with these imbeciles. When Bush was into exercise, major newspapers said he was creepy for wanting to stay in shape, why should a president worry about that? But now that Obama exercises, they all swoon and say he’s the first president to keep in shape – which is a lie, because they always mocked Bush about it. The lies just don’t stop.
I can’t believe what Susan wrote. Obama is our president and America used to mean something to oppressed people. This man is arrogant and does whatever HE wants, screw what is happening in Iran and he doesn’t care about common people. He wants to be buddies with the Iranian dictator (they call him the president, but with the corruption there and the phony election, you know he’s a dictator). He does not represent AMerica but his own personal needs. He says he is for the poor people in America, but his new health plan will eliminate a lot of poor people, older people, and those people who need expensive meds or operations or have diseases with no cures. this ice cream thing is just one more example of his arrogance, but liberals are stupid and blind.

Maybe he’s showing the world his arrogance. Remember he has never held a real job, or ran anything close to a grocery store, gas station, ice cream store or any other business enterprise in his life.
He has been within the public cocoon all his life, and is determined to put America in the same status.
His wife has had “a free ride” much of her life on the public dole.
If they want more money/power, they position themselves to get it.
They do this with organizations like ACORN, which is being supported by our taxes to undermine our elective processes, and launder money to who knows where.
Have faith Cassie, U.S. Americans will not lay down willfully.

Obama went out for ice cream on Saturday because of the revolutionary protest in Iran. I think he either didn’t care what happened there, or was hiding out form the press so he wouldnt have to give a comment or take a strong stance. He was ducking it. He was being a wienie. If he had gone for ice cream on the actual Father’s Day, like you claim, I wouldn’t have cared squat. But Saturday was the big day for the biggest protest, the one wiht all the media said had the most anticipated loss of human life and bloodshed. And the wienie in the white house knew it.
Is that your only complaint about all this tragedy and bloodshed going on at the Iranian revolution? You’re not upset with his lack of backbone, him being seen as weak by most of hte world, not suporting the Iran citizens, not speaking out stronger for freedom and liberty and against dictators? Have you EVER said one single thing about Obama that was critical or not 100% adoring? Just one thing? I ask because this would hve been a perfect time to do it.
