The Pimping of Michael Jackson Continues, Even in Death
Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on July 2, 2009
Revolting and disturbing, but not all that surprising. Those who took advantage of Michael Jackson and his enormous talent during his life see no problem with pimping him in death… at his funeral.

Michael Jackson, King of Pop... may he rest in peace
From RadarOnline:
EXCLUSIVE: $25 Charge To Attend Michael Jackson Memorial
July 2, 2009Fans who wish to attend Michael Jackson’s star-studded memorial service at Staples Center will have to shell out $25 to sit in the stands, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Family, friends and VIPS will have seats on the main floor for The Tuesday, July 7th Staples service, first reported by RadarOnline.com, while the general public will be plucking down $25 to sit in the stands.
The memorial service will feel like a concert production featuring guest speakers, a lot of music and video screens inside and outside of Staples, a source close to the planning tells RadarOnline.com.
Michael Jackson’s close friend Elizabeth Taylor is expected to attend, along with Diana Ross.
T-shirts that were going to be sold on Michael’s upcoming “This Is It” tour will not go to waste… They will be sold outside Staples to people entering the service.
The service will be held between 10am PST and Noon PST… with the scheduled Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus on standby, literally.
The parade of elephants, held as circus performers arrive in town is scheduled to take place immediately following the service.
Excerpt from Bowl of Serial:
Grab your debit cards folks, Michael Jackson will appear at the Staples Center in L.A. for the last time (pun intended), his funeral. Yes, his family is milking his death as much as they inhumanly can. Tickets will be sold for the event funeral ‘to pay for costs’, not sure how much I would pay to see a dead celebrity but general admission is a whopping $25.00 to see a carnival of events and MJ lying in a casket. I suppose it’s ironic that his tour was named “This Is it” and the Staples Center will be selling merchandise with “This Is It” during his funeral. SAVAGES!
From The Sun:
Plans to allow the public to view Michael Jackson’s body at Neverland have been scrapped amid fears that it would be illegal to bury the star at the ranch… The King of Pop’s Neverland is now vying with Graceland – where Elvis Presley also created his own fantasy world – as the most famous celebrity home on the planet… If the family are barred from burying Michael at the ranch a private memorial service could take place there, most likely after the funeral.
Jackson’s life was filled with gold diggers and scam artists and opportunists, including Papa Joe Jackson, who was left nothing in MJ’s will. So many wanted to make a few bucks (or a few million bucks) off him. It is beyond sad that MJ’s death is filled with those same shallow, unscrupulous people.
Rest in peace, Michael.
