Even following her announcement of resignation as governor, Sarah Palin is still the knock-around piñata of the bloodthirsty MSM. Maureen Dowd, that pitiable plagiarizer, is still frantically swinging away with a baseball bat at Palin. Maureen, stop bashing and plagiarizing and get a real job that you may have a talent for, like maybe selling women’s handbags.

Obama’s mainstream media is growing tiresome. And more obvious. And still viciously mean. But, I sense the tides are beginning to turn…

The liberal MSM minions work feverishly to conceal her accomplishments and admirable track record. They paint her as she is a slut, a bimbo, a reality show contestant rather than an intelligent, accomplished elected official. They focus on the slew of cockamamie lawsuits against Palin, Palin’s RNC-paid-for campaign wardrobe (any word yet on how many liberals squawked about FLOTUS Michelle Obama thoughtlessly wearing $540 designer tennis shoes to a homeless shelter?).

With all due respect, though, not many in the media have jumped the shark like The Atlantic’s Andrew Sullivan has. Sullivan’s demented, ceaseless tirade that Palin’s baby Trig is actually the son of her daughter Bristol has made many journalists (Bill Maher also believed it, but has been quiet about it for a while, so he may have come to his senses) cluck and shake their heads in disbelief. Sullivan, you chuckle head, you DO know that it takes nine months for a baby to fully gestate, right? And that it’s extremely rare for a woman to become pregnant immediately after giving birth? Trig was born April 18, 2008 and Tripp was born December 30, 2008, the birth of both babies by the same teenage mother would be *ahem* purt-near a miracle of science. People who agree with Sullivan and believe Bristol is mom to both baby boys are the same ones who have no problem with Pres. Obama locking up his school and birth records and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep them secret, and then will viciously attack and mock anyone who thinks something shady is going on there.

It doesn’t stop there. The mainstream media have reported endlessly on daughter Bristol’s pregnancy, David Letterman’s perverted comments about the daughters, the questionable judgment of the TV news team that filmed Palin at Thanksgiving time with a turkey being offed in the background. According to shrill, unfunny comedienne Joy Behar, author of the liberal-agenda children’s book, Barack Obama Vs. Mean Republican Dogs, Behar blames Palin blamed for that filming debacle. Joy blames neither the reporter nor cameraman, who could see the turkey being killed behind Palin. Just Palin is to blame… because she has eyes in the back of her head, Joy? I’ve never watched The View, except in YouTube snippets, and if the unchallenged, irrational lunacy of Behar isn’t enough to prompt boycott of that show by conservatives, then surely the other Obama-drooling women on it, always interrupting the sole conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck, should be. Boycott means lost revenue, a powerful statement to those who hate conservatives but love their money.

If this is true that Palin granted these interviews to talk about the pipeline deal, something she actually accomplished when doing her job as chief executive of the Last Frontier, and those two journalists chose to focus instead on that media sideshow, then this anecdote becomes truly emblematic of the way the media has treated Sarah Palin. They’re not interested in her record.* They’re interested rather in the sensational aspects of her story.

No wonder so many intelligent and otherwise well-informed people treat Sarah Palin as they would a celebrity regularly featured in the tabloids. They know almost nothing about her actual record as Governor of Alaska because the media hasn’t reported her accomplishments, treating Palin instead as they would a pop culture phenomenon.

Those on the left might be better informed if they didn’t limit themselves to the MSM. At least FoxNews and the conservative media reported her accomplishments.
