Just a few months ago, “BILLIONS” meant a lot of money. Oh, now, please, don’t scoff and roll your eyes… it still IS a lot of money. But members of Congress and our POTUS want us to think otherwise.

If Washington politicians banter and debate and quip about spending “BILLIONS” long enough and loud enough, the shock value of the outrageous dollar amount diminishes in the minds of the American public. It becomes less objectionable and potentially commonplace. No worries, mate… it’s just BILLIONS.

The next step is to enlist the same conditioning, desensitizing the public about the government spending “TRILLIONS.” It’s a sneaky game plan. This fraudulent, innocuous progression is an effective manipulation for duping and manipulating the unsuspecting public. The “freak-out alarm” is muted. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is a master at this devious manipulation.

If you say “TRILLIONS” over and over and over and over again, the mind eventually becomes dulled to it, desensitized, just as it did a few scant months ago to the TARP “BILLIONS.” Billion amounts have nine or more digits—that should alarm/freak out all fiscally responsible, budget-minded Americans.

It’s like a boxer in training being pummeled over and over again. Eventually, the pain from an opponent’s blows become more bearable. The long-term physical damage to the body, however, never diminishes. The boxer accepts the pain and ceases to worry as much about the long-term damage to his body as he did as a rookie pugilist.

Future mind manipulations from the Obama administration will likely be the desensitizing of Americans to the spending of taxpayer dollars in the “QUADRILLIONS.” Just a prediction.

Michelle Malkin has written an excellent piece on the $1.042 TRILLION Democrat authors of this crappy socialized health care bill want us to dump down a voracious rat hole in order to pay for and produce this sham of “FREE” health care. Utter audacity and lunacy. Encroaching tyranny.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its preliminary scoring report on health care reform. Written out in digits, the CBO’s cost estimate for Obama’s single-payer health care will be $1,042,000,000: Michelle Malkin: Document drop: CBO scores the health care takeover. How to pay for this? Tax the rich ’til they bleed, decrease or eliminate ObamaCare coverage for the elderly, and then, once it is discovered that denying coverage to older Americans and the rich in America don’t earn enough to have enough taxes to pay for all of this grotesque bill, tax everyone else to the hilt. A TRILLION dollars, despite the mind manipulation, is still a gluttonous-humongous amount of money.

Important Caveats Regarding This Preliminary Analysis

There are several reasons why the preliminary analysis that is provided in this letter and its attachments does not constitute a comprehensive cost estimate for the coverage provisions of America’s Affordable Health Choices Act:

• First, our analysis was based on specifications regarding insurance coverage that were provided by the tri-committee group and that differ in important ways from the “discussion draft” version of legislative language that was released on June 19, 2009. The specifications that we analyzed are supposed to be reflected in the draft language released by the three committees today, but we have not yet been able to analyze that language to determine whether it conforms to those specifications. Our review of that language could have a significant effect on our analysis. More generally, as our understanding of the specifications improves, that also could affect our future estimates.

• Second, some effects of the proposal have not yet been fully captured in our analysis. In particular, we have not yet estimated the administrative costs to the federal government of implementing the specified policies, nor have we accounted for all of the proposal’s likely effects on spending for other federal programs. We expect to include those effects in the near future, but we also expect that they will not have a sizable impact on our analysis.

• Third, the budgetary information shown in the attached table reflects many of the major cash flows that would affect the federal budget as a result of implementing the specified policies, and it provides our preliminary assessment of the proposal’s net effects on the federal budget deficit (subject to the caveats listed above). Some additional cash flows would appear in the budget—either as outlays and offsetting receipts or outlays and revenues—but would net to zero and thus would not affect the deficit. CBO and the JCT staff have not yet estimated all of those cash flows but expect to do so in the near future.2 Those additional cash flows would include the premiums collected by the public plan and its outlays as well as risk-adjustment transfers from plans with relatively healthy enrollees to plans with relatively unhealthy enrollees.

At The American Spectator, Philip Klein has a simple, easy-to-understand chart that makes it crystal clear how the CBO’s 10-Year time frame attempts to obscure the full cost of ObamaCare. While running for President, Barack Obama used the word “change” as his mantra. A lot of people thought he meant that in a good way.

They’re finding out they were wrong.

To put it in Hollywood terms, Obama campaigned like he was the Music Man, and he’s turned out to be Kaiser Soze. Recently, President Obama said one of the ways we (aka: the government) can cut back on health care costs is by denying medical care to old people. If you think that was heartless, check out the thoughts of Obama’s science czar. Apparently he’s for “forced abortions, mass sterilization, and a ‘Planetary Regime’ with the power of life and death over American citizens.”

No estimate on when the pain of ObamaCare, both health-care-provider-wise and financial-wise, will become bearable. Because it will never become bearable… bankruptcy of America will be the end result of this administration’s scary spend-tax spree. A spending spree on crappy health care that we’ll be forced to accept unless the Senate votes it down. If you’re still not convinced, ask Canada how socialized medicine and health care has worked in the north.
