No Tears: Buh-bye, Susan Roesgen, Don’t Let the Door Hit You on the Way Out, No Tea Parties for You

Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on July 17, 2009

rush-tea-party-signsIt’s altogether fitting that today there will be numerous tea parties across the nation, protesting the Obama administration’s elephantine bills and skyrocketing taxes and government meddling: global warming/cap-and-trade, stimulus/porkulus, and ObamaCare socialized health care. Because earlier today, I was stunned (and delighted) to learn that one of the most notorious tea party haters, Susan Roesgen, has been served her walking papers from CNN. Good riddance…

One MSM conservative-hater down… 999 more to go.

No tears for you, Susan. Maybe Keith Olbermann at MS-NBC needs someone to pick up his dry cleaning.

From TV Newser:

Susan Roesgen Out at CNN | July 16, 2009

TVNewser has learned CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen’s contract will not be renewed and she will be leaving the network.

Roesgen, you’ll recall, was criticized for her coverage at the tax day tea parties in April, when she said the event she was covering in Chicago was, “anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing, conservative network Fox.”

Roesgen took a break for a few weeks after that reporting and returned to the air in May covering the Drew Peterson arrest. Most recently, she covered Michael Jackson’s death from Los Angeles. Roesgen joined CNN in 2005.

When TVNewser asked whether Roesgen’s comments at the Chicago tea party rally had anything to do with her not being renewed, a CNN spokesperson said, “I can’t comment on personnel matters.”

Karma’s a drag, eh, Susan?
