“The Justice Nobody Knows”: 60 Minutes Interview with Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas

Sonia Sotomayor, despite her controversial “wise Latina” comments, her overturned firefighter-racial bias judgment by the Supreme Court, and her activist background, said she was treated fairly and without personal attacks during the Senate congressional hearings. Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas does not share that opinion during his SCOTUS nomination hearing nearly two decades ago.

Two years back, Thomas was interviewed by 60 Minutes. The three videos below comprise the interview that covered his memoir My Grandfather’s Son: A Memoir, his difficult childhood, his grandfather, his education, his nomination to the Supreme Court, his work ethic, his opinions on welfare programs and the stereotyping of minorities, and the “lynching” he felt he received by the press and the hostile grilling and personal attacks made by members of the SCOTUS hearing panel. He is still attacked by the liberal MSM today.
