Late-night comedians are missing the comedy gold coming out of the White House.
Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, however, is quick on the draw and doesn’t disappoint with the following astute “pearls of wisdom” from today’s radio broadcast and posted today, July 21, 2009, on his website — here, he jokes and opines about Barack Obama, moderates, and socialized health care.

“If Obama can’t figure out what to do with 300 people in Gitmo, how can he figure out what the best health care plan is for every American?”
“Who is informing all of these people who are opposed to this health care plan? The mainstream media is not informing them. Many of the conservative intelligentsia inside the Beltway are not telling them what’s in the bill. It’s us, folks. It’s us in talk radio. We’re doing the heavy lifting on this.”
“By definition, moderates can’t be brave — they don’t have opinions! Dawn [Rush's assistant] doesn’t like me saying things like that, but, I mean, brave moderates? Great Moderates in American History? Show me that book.”
“President Obama still has not shown up at the podium for his speech, and there’s clearly one reason why: he has to wait for his staff to tell him what I said before going out and making comments.”
“President Obama said, ‘This is not about me.’ This is not about me? This is the man who gave his acceptance speech at the Democrat National Convention in front of some foam Greek columns!”
“You know how Obama could’ve gotten this plan through? He could’ve had it in March if he were the guy everybody thought he was, but he’s nothing but a twisted, liberal radical ideologue.”

I think that Obama’s thugs will need to spread out to suppress these indiscretions that will hobble Obama’s plans.

Without our many amazing conservative bloggers (Hot Air, Michelle Malkin, Gateway Pundit, Big Hollywood, PajamasMedia, et al) and talk show hosts, I shudder to think what America would be like now. Soviet Poland? Castro’s Cuba? Brrr….
I earnestly write this blog, without pay or fame or glory, because I love my country. And I refuse to let it be destroyed without putting up a fight. I’m just one little ant, one little soldier… but there are millions of other ants/soldiers out there who hunger for the truth and love our nation and all the freedoms for which it stands. The Constitution is the greatest gift ever given to a nation. With it under our arm, we can indeed stop this dismantling of America’s freedoms and the encroachment of the government. I do NOT want to live in a socialized country. And I believe millions of other people do not, either. Many who do don’t fully grasp what it would mean to diminish their way of life… or perhaps they believe it applies to all others, but not to them.
Knowledge is a powerful weapon. Spread the knowledge and arm the citizens.
