Panel Talk: Pres. Obama’s Race-Charged Allegations without Reading Police Report & His Inappropriate Meddling in Prof. Gates’ Arrest (video)

It’s still pretty ugly out there, even after (or perhaps, because of) Obama’s lame non-apology “this is a teachable moment” ramblings in a press conference earlier today.
Obama has been dishing out plenty of blame. He blamed the media for blowing up what he said, blamed the police (referring to the police in general, not just Sgt. James Crowley) for acting stupidly for following protocol, gently blamed Prof. Gates for possibly overreacting (possibly?) by yelling at the cops and being abusive and non-cooperative, but Obama has not expressed a whit of regret or concern for getting involved in something that:
-
A) was none of his friggin’ business (unless this is going to be a new surprise bonus feature at the end of each POTUS MSM press conference… slam, scold, and chide random law enforcement officers for arresting people he knows),
- B) he acknowledged that knew nothing about it since he had not read the police report nor had any information besides Gates’ biased, racist version, but then decided to make a racially tinged judge-and-jury decision ANYWAY, and
- C) he felt compelled that, as the leader of the greatest nation in the world, he should express controversial, inappropriate, inflammatory anti-police, subtle race-baiting comments on national TV without a shred of evidence and with a “guilty until proven innocent” mentality toward our courageous police officers. And now, two days later, he still hasn’t said he was sorry. In fact, he’s seemed pretty pleased with himself. It’s like his old days in Chicago, I’m sure, of being a “community organizer.”
Yeah, the whole thing sucks eggs.

NEVER mouth off to a police officer. First of all, it’s just plain rude, and second, it’s escalating your insubordination, no matter your race, to a level that arrest can and should occur. Being a smart aleck or a hostile loudmouth to police while you’re being questioned is stupid and asking for trouble, no matter your race. I know several WASP gals who, in their youth, were arrested or threatened to be arrested for being argumentative and belligerent to police officers, after being asked several times to stop. So, being arrested for hassling a cop HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE. White women must learn to “button their lips,” too, and be cooperative or they may suffer the consequences of arrest.
In my experience, most police officers are decent, service-minded men and women who are performing dangerous, thankless jobs in an effort to “protect and serve” the public. Prof. Gates is a racist knucklehead looking for a fight.
Next: Chicago Sun-Times’ Lynn Sweet claims she was NOT a “plant” in asking Obama the question about Professor Gates’ arrest. After watching this, I’m inclined to believe her. Make your own choice.
