Police Association Head Calls on Obama to Apologize for Uninformed Remarks

Hot Air: Obama: The Gates clusterfark is a “teachable moment” or something
For those who think this is an legitimate apology from Pres. Barack Obama, it is not.
You have to actually say the words “I’m sorry” or something similar for it to be an apology. It would also necessitate that you look beyond your ego and contrived race issues to realize how your actions hurt or angered others and have a shred of genuine regret for what you did.
Obama simply can’t do that. Narcissists are incapable of accepting any blame for their actions (he did say he “helped in racheting it up.” Could that be a sorta-apology? Nah… doesn’t count.) The police association shouldn’t hold its breath waiting for a REAL apology, because this wacky press conference is as good as it’s gonna get.
But you must watch the video because it is breathtaking in its lofty arrogance and deflection from Mr. Barack “This Is A Teachable Moment… for All of You, Not Me” Obama. He is perfectly satisfied about butting into something that was none of his business, especially when conducting a televised press conference (was the question planted? We’ll never know Lynn Sweet, the reporter who asked the question, said she was NOT a plant and the question was legitimate). It’s amazing at how many trite, overworked platitudes the man can string together in one press statement (although, the conference DOES go on and on, running just shy of 6 minutes), and utter them with such faux conviction and paternal timber. POTUS is magnificent in his superb, cool ability at accomplishing NOTHING, saying NOTHING, but making it appear that he does. Hollow rhetoric from a man filled with hubris…
Obama, in lieu of a full-blown “kumbaya” conclusion, said that he, Gates, and Crowley would try to have a beer together at the White House, so, wow, racial-tension problem solved. Although, Obama said the same thing months ago about having a beer with Sean Hannity, and Sean has been trying to get that brewsky ever since.
Hey, pass some more of that cotton candy over, will ya? I like it extra fluffy ‘cuz it’s less filling…

Two commentaries from two “Eds”…
I’ve remarked at least twice on the blog that if you have to start off a sentence with “I wasn’t there and I don’t have all the facts,” the only correct conclusion to it is “so I have nothing to say about it at the moment.” Did they read that here? Actually, I rather doubt it. It’s pretty much a common-sense rule, which makes Obama’s failure to understand it quite indicting.

Sgt Crowley is an exemplary cop who once administered CPR to a dying Boston Celtic Reggie Lewis, who collapsed of a heart attack during a Celtic practice. Mr Lewis was black.

However, one fact can’t be denied. By speaking out on this matter President Obama has exhibited his “stupidly” made remarks.
Prof Gates has demanded an apology from Sgt Crowley. My question is this. Will Gates and Obama apologize to Sgt Crowley and the Cambridge Police Department when all the facts are out, and Sgt Crowley is shown to have been in the right for arresting Prof Gates?
Mr Gates reportedly told Officer Crowley, “You don’t know who you are messing with.”
Perhaps it is you, Prof Gates, who didn’t know who they were messing with!!
