Despite the Democrat rhetoric coming out of Washington, Arizona voters consider enforcing America’s border laws and supporting Sheriff Joe Arpaio in his efforts to curb illegal immigration from Mexico to be more important than health care reform.
While Sheriff Arpaio has been attacked lately by the Obama administration, activist group La Raza, and Phoenix mayor Phil Gordon, he is still supported for his crusade against illegal immigration by a majority of Arizonans.

July 27, 2009Fifty-one percent (51%) of Arizona voters say it is more important for Congress to pass immigration reform than health care reform.
By a 65% to 20% margin, Arizona voters believe enforcing the borders is more important than legalizing the status of those already living here. Half of the state’s voters (50%) think it is possible to put an end to illegal immigration, while 34% do not.
Voters in the Grand Canyon State still highly regard Maricopa Country Sheriff Joseph Arpaio, known for his tough immigration enforcement. Fifty-seven percent (57%) say the sheriff’s policies have helped the state’s image, showing little change from May. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say the sheriff’s policies hurt the state’s image.

My hope is that this shell game will finally come to a conclusion. My hope is that citizens are actually paying attention to vocabulary and aren’t recognizing “illegal alien”, “undocumented workers” and so on with legal aliens. They ask the question “who will do the work that “white workers” or “American workers” would do? Of course the answer is simple… legal immigrants, because they are always welcome to this great country. The mask is slowly coming off the liberal word games.
