How are you with comprehending really big numbers? Visualizing them, I mean? To be honest, I’m not much of a math person. I can barely envision a million of anything, let alone a billion or a trillion. Higher-level math concepts overwhelm me… I even have “math class” nightmares when I’m unduly stressed. I’m not alone. Many intelligent Americans struggle with fully grasping gigantic numbers like 1 billion or trillion (and a lot of folks have “math class on final exams day” stress dreams).
These videos, produced by math whiz Matt (username 10000Pennies on YouTube) at PoliticalMath.Wordpress.com, “Political Information Visualization and Other Math-y Things,” are excellent, short visual math demonstrations. Using pennies.

Matt shows the enormity of Pres. Barack Obama’s stimulus / porkulus package, his tiny proposed budget cut of $100 million from a $3.5 trillion budget, and his debt-inducing ObamaCare government-run health care plan for all Americans. He’s produced a number of other political math videos.
