Boehner: Don’t Throw Current Health Care System Under the Bus & Don’t Adopt 53 New ObamaCare Gov’t Agencies & Programs (video)
Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on August 5, 2009

News flash: More Americans are reporting that they’re satisfied with their current health insurance and have more confidence in the current health care system. House Republican Leader John Boehner’s (R-OH) has said it is a bad idea to “throw the current health care system under the bus” just to adopt the more expansive and expensive ObamaCare plan, which still is being revised.
At this point, it is estimated that the government-run program will require that 53 new departments, boards, and agencies be created, swelling the ranks of taxpayer-paid government employees to record highs.
In fact, per a new Rasmussen poll, forty-eight percent (48%) of U.S. voters now rate the U.S. health care system as good or excellent and just 19% rate it as poor.
More health care poll results:
These figures reflect a significant increase in support for the health care system over the past few months. In May, just 35% of adults nationwide rated the system as good or excellent. A year ago, just 29% of Likely Voters rated the system in such positive terms.
The new polling also shows that 80% of those with insurance rate their own coverage as good or excellent.
There is a huge partisan gap on perceptions of the U.S. health care system. Seven-out-of-10 Republicans rate it as good or excellent, but only one-of-four Democrats agree. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, 53% rate the current system as good or excellent while just 18% say it’s poor.
Over the past few months, as the health care reform debate has raged, confidence in the current system has increased significantly among Republicans and unaffiliated voters. There has been little change among Democrats.
Just 28% say they are willing to pay higher taxes so that all Americans can have health insurance. Sixty percent (60%) are opposed.
And let’s not forget how “Cash for Clunkers” brought on some mayhem and financial craziness for our elected folks last week… the same wise folks that are trying to bully us convince us that THEY can ration destroy run our health care far better than we can.
FOX News reports on Boehner’s press conference about our current health care system and that a majority of Americans do not want the government to take it over with its proposed single-payer health care system.

I hope TheOne et al keep calling us the party of NO. I’m proud to be part of that. NO more taxes, NO more deficit, NO more spending, NO more healtcare reform!
I agree with Boehner… throwing it all out and starting over is dangerous. Once they control our health, our health records and our doctors, they control everything!
Hey! I’m going to Hannity’s freedom concert this Saturday in Las Vegas!!! And all because LEVIN WILL BE THERE!!! My daughter made me a “lovin’ Levin” tshirt that I will be wearing. I’m real excited!
Roxanna, you are indeed a lucky lady.
When you leave that concert, you will feel like A GREAT AMERICAN !!!!!!
Small world, Roxy… my son and I are going to Sunday’s Freedom Concert here in Phoenix!
And yes, I’m really stoked about seeing Mark “The Great” Levin – he was added to the lineup after I bought my tickets. Seeing Col. Oliver North is also going to be a thrill.
I love Sean Hannity… I’m just plain ol’ stoked about this.
I believe that every time the legislature passes a law it either “breaks our bones” or “picks our pockets” like one of our founding fathers once told us. Nothing would please me more if a candidate told us that he or she is going to Washington with a big eraser… and try, every day, to get rid of all the laws and restrictions that have been placed upon our citizens. Wouldn’t it be nice if the legislature couldn’t pass a new law unless they got rid of an existing one?
