Every day, it’s a whole new show… more deception, more thuggery, more cronyism, more lying, more bussing in of paid, fake ObamaCare supporters. The Obama Shill Show is getting quite the audience, although the critical reviews pretty much suck.

UPDATE, AUGUST 19, 2009: But wait, another doctor shill has popped up at ObamaCare meetings… new information from Michelle Malkin: Sheila Leavitt: Another wacky doctor for Obamacare, someone to join our peppy, Astro-turf fake doctor, Roxana Mayer.

Enter Roxana Mayer, the newest face on the The Obama Shill Show.

Quick shill background: Shills have been around for centuries. A shill is a person who helps to sell goods, services, or a political group, and pretends to have no association to the seller/group. The shill will act like an enthusiastic customer or supporter and is often selected “at random” from a group or audience (sound familiar?) to play-act a remedy, endorsement, cure, testimonial, consensus, you name it. The intention of the shill is to use crowd psychology in order to encourage others to accept an ideology or purchase whatever is being sold. The audience is being duped, and is usually unaware of the duplicity. Shills are often employed by confidence (con) artists. The term “plant” is a synonym for “shill.”

Roxana is a shill, a plant for ObamaCare. A dyed-in-the-wool liberal liar who is pretty much A-OK with her bold-faced lying about being a physician (in the video below, she says she is a general practitioner; elsewhere, I’ve read that she has called herself a pediatric specialist… doesn’t matter, she’s a liar).

Roxana The Fake Doctor asked her pro-ObamaCare question at the health care town hall meeting (presided over by Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee) and made her bogus statements about the United States being nearly non-existent in preventative care, which is another lie.

If you try to sound like you’re a medical authority (and because you have already LIED to everyone about being one), people will usually believe you. Well, duh.

Until they have a justifiable reason to not believe, like about now.

So, lying is GOOOOOOOD, according to Roxana, because it helps those involved in the ‘Obama Shill Show.’ Give POTUS help in what is needed to ram through socialized health care. Smile for the camera, Dr. Dodo-head Liar.

I don’t even know where to start on this dishonest moron. Listen to her speak in the video… clearly, right from the start, her claim to be a primary care physician should have been suspected.

Roxana Mayer, for all those non-doctors out there who have never lied about being a doctor to have their health care opinions be taken more seriously than they should be, you get a few thunks on the head and are going to bed without any supper. Did Mom and Dad forget to teach you that lying is wrong? Or, is LYING your normal modus operandi? She is a student of sociology at University of Houston. Wonder how the university feels about its students lying about their credentials? Lacks character and honesty, doesn’t it?

Obviously, Roxana would have rehearsed and polished her rusty little ruse more if she’d known she’d get caught in the lies and that she’d suddenly not be just trying to fool a roomful of Texans, but a whole nation. Hindsight and all that…

Not for one second do I believe that Jackson-Lee was oblivious to Mayer’s erroneous talking points, fake medical background, and her associations with Obama’s community organizations.

It’s Astro-turf, baby!

ObamaCare Peddlers Plant a Faux Doctor in Town Hall for Sheila ‘My Cell Phone’ Jackson Lee

And Houston Chronicle… really sad, sad, sad. Thank goodness conservative bloggers like the brilliant folks at Patterico’s Pontifications did the journalistic fact-checking that your struggling newspaper “forgot” to do. And brought to the forefront pertinent information about Roxana Mayer’s background that your reporter chose to omit (very suspicious) from the article.

And you people actually wonder why print media is dying…

Here is where we are right now in the Patterico “Town Hall Doctor Liar” investigation, in order of posting:

August 12, 2009: Hmmm: Was There a Plant at the Sheila Jackson Lee Town Hall Meeting?
Later on August 12, 2009: Roxana Mayer: I’m Not a Doctor But I Play One at Town Hall Meetings

Read the entire article, but I wanted to focus on one thing in the Patterico post:

UPDATE: The reporter who wrote the Houston Chronicle story apparently knew that Mayer was an Obama delegate, but didn’t include that detail in her story. Commenter mike in houston says that he wrote reporter Cindy Horswell and received the following response:

This is the name and occupation that she gave when she spoke at the public meeting. She also told me that she was an Obama state delegate and been notified of the meeting by email and did not live in Lee’s district. I have since been trying to see if she misrepresented herself. There is someone by the same name who lists herself as a graduate student and sociologist intern at a Houston council on drugs and alcohol…but that person no longer works there. And do not know if this is the same person. She may also be a visiting doctor from another state…..Am interested in any information that anyone might have. Best regards, Cindy Horswell

Sorry, Ms. Horswell, she’s not a visiting doctor from another state. And you should have told us she was an Obama delegate.

And lead organizer for Organizing for America (OfA). Oops.

August 13, 2009: Houston Chronicle Updates the Roxana Mayer Story

From Hot Air, Video: ObamaCare fans take Astroturfing to a new level; Mayer an OFA organizer:

Not only was Mayer not a doctor, Roxana Mayer was an Obama delegate, as Patterico discovered with some digging. What’s more, the Houston Chronicle apparently knew this and failed to include it in its glowing coverage of Mayer’s appearance. The reporter, Cindy Horswell, has admitted that she knew Mayer was an Obama delegate and that Mayer didn’t live in Jackson-Lee’s district when she wrote the Chronicle story. After getting exposed, the Chronicle quietly changed the caption on the photo without issuing a correction, removing the reference to Mayer being a doctor.

Anyone now who steps up to a mic in a town hall and has something POSITIVE to say about ObamaCare should be fully vetted immediately. Not by the newspapers, not by members of Congress, not by Obama czars, but by the people.

The Obama Shill Show has worn out its welcome and we need no more shills, plants, liars, fakes, and the like from Obama’s vast army of dutiful foot soldiers.

Lies, lies, and more lies… if one of these Obama-bots ever told the truth, their programming would likely malfunction.

Be sure to flag yourself at the White House website, and while you’re at it, flag Roxana and Queen Sheila. Spread the “fishy” love…

  1. melintexas says:

The chances that SJL has never met Mrs. Mayer is slim to none.

  2. John says:

We see the desperation of the peurile Left: from the possibly-pedophilic Jesse Griffin (we just don’t know, do we?) to “I play a doctor but I am really a liar” Roxanna Mayer…the Obama agenda is demonstrated to be based on falsehood, innuendo, and outright fraud. The President’s “Let a Thousand Plants Bloom” townhall circus is imploding. Pelosi & Reid accuse half the nation of being “un-American”. And it’s still less than one-year that this community organizer who apparently hates organized communities has been in office.

  3. Dave B says:

Melintexas: although it is laughable they can’t seem to find any “real” taxpayers that don’t have any stake in the game except their love of country and our constitution like the opposition to healthcare; I don’t think SJL remembered her if she had met her (I agree that she probably did), only because of the questions she asked. If I think she knew she was not a doctor she would just have let it go. Then again, they really think we are that stupid so maybe it’s possible.

  4. N Dooley says:

    Newest “fake” is not…fact check-

Lets have a real debate on the real issues – Dust off your logic and reason for that. And courtesy too. And get the facts straight. Fake doctor = not. Can only licensed physicians have an opinion about health care in this country? Because if so, you need to pipe down my friends.

Sheila Leavitt, M.D., University of Rochester (N.Y.) School of Medicine and Dentistry , Class of 1978, Alpha Omega Alpha. Internship at Rochester General and Strong Memorial Hospitals in Rochester NY. Two years as physician at University health service. One year of pathology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Not licensed to practice since 1983, when she gave up her medical career to raise children.

A clear sign of a dedicated, um …what is that called? Oh yeah, ….mother. You know, stay at home motherhood, another commie plot? Can only licensed physicians have an opinion about health care in this country? Then, please go home and take your signs with you.

Right wing pundits have ” uncovered” an unlicensed physician. Wow..

Does your discovery make her points invalid? Does it prove she is not an MD? Does your “revelation” show how health care reform is a bad idea? Your side does not even have the real facts about what you are fighting. Here are two quick reality checks:

    A) there is no public option in HR3200 B) there are no “death panels” either

It is not a debate to endlessly repeat made up facts and ad hominum abusive assertions ( no, I am NOT a lawyer -far from it. I was on the debate team in public high school) In all this circus from the right wing there is so little information. In my day conservatives actually had ideas and a manner I could respect. We disagreed but were civil.

Lets have a real debate on the real issues – Dust off your logic and reason for that. And courtesy too. And get the facts straight. Fake doctor = not.

Real debate on health care, on real issues? I post 3 – 5 articles daily on a variety of “real issues.” I’ve posted more than 20 pieces on just socialized health care on this blog; I’ve posted many others on socialism, the global warming scam, taxation, government power grabs, ACORN corruption, union thuggery, conservative issues, stimulus and bailout bills, etc.

Read them and then we can debate. Using this one post as your argument about lack of debate is naive and shows a lack of research follow-through on your part to be sure you’re correct before attacking. Typical lazy liberal tactic, but I’m used to it.

I do not cover in depth Sheila Leavitt in this post; refer to “Liberal Liars & Hypocrites: Outpouring of Fake Obama-Bot Doctors & Protesters at Townhalls, MSM Silent… But Attacking Joe the Plumber Was A-OK” where she is more front and center.

That piece was more on the issue of dishonesty and the MSM not reporting it unless it was a conservative/Republican who had done the lying (which I believe IS a real issue). Or just attack them for their principles and not for them actually doing anything wrong. Enter “ObamaCare” or “health care” in the search field and you’ll find many, many other posts.

So, if Sheila’s points in support of socialized health care are valid (to you), lying about her current medical background is acceptable? What if she were a conservative and had NOT supported ObamaCare, but in her dissertation, lied about being a doctor? Would that be OK?

Neither would be to me. If someone lies in a job interview about his or her background, yet has the skills to perform the job, guess what? I wouldn’t hire that person. Because lying puts everything else into the “suspicious” and “dishonest” categories. There are plenty of people making valid points on both sides of the health care fence without fabricating or exaggerating their authority or background. If indeed she has an expired medical license from 20-some years ago, all that she needed to say to be honest was that she used to work as a doctor, or something similar. But she didn’t. An expired medical license means she is NOT a doctor, at least until she does what is necessary to be licensed. Doctors are required to attend multiple seminars and courses (usually annually) to keep their credentials up to date and their licenses valid. So she was bold-faced dishonest.

Logic is “dusted” just fine. I noticed you did not cite your source for what you provided on her bio. All of this was regurgitated from the three sources I provided in “Liberal Liars & Hypocrites: Outpouring of Fake Obama-Bot Doctors & Protesters at Townhalls, MSM Silent… But Attacking Joe the Plumber Was A-OK”. But you left out quite a bit. From what I’ve located and read, there really is no evidence that she actually practiced medicine before her “retirement” 26 years ago. I did find her background in children’s theater and selling realty and Italian houses interesting, though. Anyone can SAY they are a doctor… I see no reputable evidence except her own assorted web pages saying that she is an M.D. What source did you use that proved she is/was a doctor? Apparently, though, she has also been a left-wing activist and really protested heavily against Pres. Bush. No political bias there…

No mention, though, was made by you about Roxana Mayer lying about being a doctor, which was the main focus of this post you commented on. Accidental omission?

If you did read “Liberal Liars & Hypocrites: Outpouring of Fake Obama-Bot Doctors & Protesters at Townhalls, MSM Silent… But Attacking Joe the Plumber Was A-OK” (and since you attack me for writing about Sheila, which I really didn’t do in this post, it seems illogical that you didn’t read the other), I noticed you made no mention of Joe the Plumber and the butchery of his life by the media… an oversight? These two women have lied about being licensed physicians, and there is no discussion or criticism by the liberal media, but Joe is torn from limb to limb, mocked to high heaven, investigated illegally by government employees, maligned by liberal pundits and journalists. Which, by the way, was the whole point of this post. The hypocrisy of liberals and the MSM.

Your ludicrous “Commie plot” and mothers comment detracted from some of the points you made. Wasn’t necessary, and the overkill was likely meant to be insulting. So, you succeeded on that level. I’m a mother and I used to be an English teacher. Guess what? I would never say I WAS a teacher, even though I used to be one and could again be one. If I said, present-day, that I was a teacher with no further clarification, I’d be just as much a liar as Sheila was. Sheila lied about being a doctor to make others think her opinions were more valid because of her supposed current occupation than the opinions of laypeople. Bogus, deceitful motivation, and it ended up making her look less authoritative and more of a liar.

I don’t expect you to write back, since most liberals “hit and run.” Too many suspicious omissions and straw man arguments… quite disingenuous.
