Obama Family at the Grand Canyon

Barack Obama, his family, and a slew of Secret Service agents arrived at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix yesterday afternoon. Today, the Grand Canyon (or just the South Rim of it… not sure, and don’t feel like looking it up) will be closed to the public for seven hours. Peachy.
Yeah, I’m whining.
As many of you know, I live in the Greater Phoenix area. The TV news this morning, on all channels (I don’t have cable) has been wall-to-wall Obama.
While this video was not on the news, but created yesterday by an Obama fan, this is an example of what I’m experiencing today.

I can’t take it anymore, so I’m headed off to the mall with my son for some back-to-school shopping.

Dang, does it take the entire Phoenix area police dept to run the presidential motorcade? No wonder traffic gets snarly.
Hey, gal. One of my best pals (a conservative Catholic mom of ….I’ve lost count how many) is a Phoenician and no more a fan of “the One” than yourself. (or did you already know that and is that how you and I met??? My mind isn’t what it used to be.) Anyway, she has been strangely silent. I didn’t even know he was there until I read this post of yours. I feel for you. Hope you had fun shopping! Your blog is the top referrer to mine so you have a place of honor now at the top of my blog.
Oh, and I love your warning about anti-Palin comments. I’ve taken even to blocking their IPs. I mean, one can only take so much venom, particularly on a family blog.
