No Chaos at Oklahoma Townhall Meeting on ObamaCare: Sen. Coburn Addresses “End of Life” Question

Not all ObamaCare townhall meetings on government-run health care are chaotic with frustrated constituents yelling at their elected official to listen to them, and the elected official yelling back in anger or insulting or calling the voters names.
Guess it depends on the member of Congress presiding over the meeting and the respect that the constituents have for that member of Congress.
It’s refreshing to see respect displayed in Oklahoma from both sides. At least from what we see in this video clip below. The crowded roomful of people even laugh… imagine that!
At an Oklahoma townhall meeting on August 13, 2009 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, an elderly transplant patient asked Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) questions about the proposed mandate HR 3200 (“end of life” counseling) as it relates to the proposed health care reform bill.
FYI: Sen. Coburn graduated from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1983. He then opened a medical practice in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and is one of only two licensed doctors currently serving in the US Senate. His background makes him one of the most qualified of members in Congress, IMO, on the issue of socialized health care for Americans.
And Sen. Coburn does not like it one bit. The audio in the video of the senator’s response is a bit muffled and a few people nearby make a few comments that make it tough to hear the senator’s response, so listen closely. One key thing Sen. Coburn said, after describing our current health care system that admittedly needs work to improve it, was, “Let’s not destroy what is good in the name of creating a government program.” He also questions the constitutionality of the government mandating and running a health care system.
