I acknowledge that any newcomer will likely blame his or her predecessor when placed in a new position. It’s for survival. This happens in relationships, employment, PTA board membership slots — not just the White House. Blaming the previous guy for inadequacies, errors, and basic stupidity deflects criticism and allows that person to save face while figuring out the rhythm and intricacies of a new position, learn the dance. And, some of the time, blaming the predecessor is justified.
However, Obama has grossly overplayed his “we inherited ‘fill in the blank’ from Bush” whining. Enough already. It’s bloody annoying. Man up.
Honeymoon’s long over. Oui, oui…
Obama must also think Americans don’t have memories or access to YouTube, as he is constantly revising what he or his staff said a few months ago on health care, the stimulus bill, unemployment numbers, global warming, and Club Gitmo.
And quit imposing your will on the American people, Mr. President. Unless you’re deliberately priming the fires of citizen revolt. If that’s the case, then you’re doing just swell.

Obamas’ arrogance will be his downfall.

He hates America, and he is afraid of the negative information coming out against him and the crooks in congress.
Look what Obama did to Hillary. She was his biggest opponent.

Chicago thug machine is in high gear and just about to experience a major mechanical failure.
No president in my lifetime has done so much complaining and blaming the previous administration. President Reagan inherited a much worse economy from Carter, not to mention that we were a laughing stock after the Iran hostage fiasco. But, he merely looked forward, pulled the country out of it and let Carter fade away. President Clinton inherited a mild recession from Bush 41, but, said little once he was inaugurated. Admittedly, he said a lot during his campaign. Bush 43 inherited a recession from Clinton and, again, just moved forward was classy enough to avoid the blame game. Interestingly, the liberals and the media (oh, but I repeat myself) blamed BUSH daily for Clinton’s recession. But, that’s a subject for a different debate.
Excellent points, Doyle – for some younger Americans, they honestly don’t know what a nightmare Jimmy Carter was. But as usual, Ronald Reagan was a class act and just did what needed to be done for America. And he didn’t fly off on Air Force One every single week to little town halls (followed by family trips to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone) to turn things around. He actually WORKED.

Thanks Mark for standing up to this administration that is destroying all that is good about America. We have fought Fascists, Communists, and many other enemies, of freedom and now we have an administration that stands for all we fought against for years. This is a fight for the life of America, and we must not lose it.
