LOL… Meet Maurice Schwenkler, Left-wing Vandal of Denver Dem Party HQ, Staged Smear of GOP ObamaCare Protesters (video)

Like annoying yappy dogs, more hyper left-wingers are scurrying in and posing as raucous ObamaCare protesters or bogus “authorities.”
We’ve had fake paid groups of bussed-in, pro-ObamaCare protesters (Democrat, ACORN, SEIU). We’ve had fake doctors speaking at town hall meetings (Democrat, Obama activists). We’ve had a cute kid expressing concern about anti-ObamaCare protesters’ “mean signs” (appears to be fake, appears to be a Democrat plant because of ties to Obama). We’ve had fake dissenters comparing Obama to a Nazi and brandishing photos of Obama as Hitler (Democrat, Lyndon LaRouche).
Now, we have a real left-wing vandal/criminal (previous arrest record), posing as a right-wing/anti-ObamaCare vandal/criminal, staging a destructive property attack on Denver DNC headquarters, purportedly to place embarrassment and criminal blame on innocent ObamaCare opposers. Maybe.
Bizarre, left-wing deception and craziness… in that sorta-funny, sorta-creepy, boneheaded kind of way that always baffles me about left-wingers.

1 suspect in custody following Dem HQ vandalism in Denver
August 25, 2009A 24-year-old arrested this morning on suspicion of smashing 11 windows at Colorado Democratic Party headquarters tried to conceal his identity while allegedly committing the crime, according to police descriptions.
Maurice Schwenkler wore a shirt over his face, a hooded sweat shirt and latex gloves before he and another man fled the scene on bicycles, police said. Schwenkler was apprehended after a short chase. The other suspect remains at large.
While Schwenkler does not appear in the state’s voter registration database, a person by that name in November 2008 received $500 from a political 527 committee called Colorado Citizens Coalition for “communications,” according to campaign finance disclosures.
The accountant for the 527 appears to be the same woman who handles the books for many other Democratic-leaning political committees.
A Maurice Schwenkler also signed an online 2005 petition to free anti-war Christian protesters who were captured in Iraq.
State Democratic Party Chairwoman Pat Waak initially blamed the vandalism on animosity surrounding the health care debate, though Denver police declined to comment on possible motives.
The shattered windows were emblazoned with posters touting President Barack Obama and the Democratic position on health care reform.
The other storefronts surrounding the building on West Eighth Avenue and Santa Fe Drive in downtown Denver’s art district were untouched. But the Democratic posters are scuffed from hammer blows, Waak said.
“We ought to be having a serious, conscientious debate about what’s best for the country,” Waak said. “Clearly there’s been an effort on the other side to stir up hate. I think this is the consequence of it.”
She estimates the damage at $11,000.
An officer on patrol spotted vandals in the act around 2:20 a.m. and took Schwenkler into custody after a short chase, Denver police spokeswoman Vicki Ferrari said.
The plot thickens. Updated report from Denver Post… it gets more strange and suspicious, and there’s some fancy backpedaling by Democratic Party chairwoman Pat Waak about her previous, ridiculously groundless false “stirring up hate by the other side” accusations:
‘08 race worker held in damage to Colorado Democratic HQ
August 26, 2009…Early Tuesday, Democratic Party chairwoman Pat Waak said the damage to her building in Denver’s art district was a consequence of “an effort on the other side to stir up hate.” She tempered her statement after Schwenkler’s political history was revealed.
“What I’ve been saying is there is a lot of rhetoric out there from both sides of the spectrum,” Waak said. “That’s what’s been disturbing to me. People are saying a lot of things not appropriate for civil discourse.”
For weeks, people on both sides of the health care debate have rallied across the country.
Schwenkler is charged with criminal mischief and is to make his first appearance in Denver County Court today.
He is accused of doing an estimated $11,000 in damage and could face a felony conviction.
On the last day of the 2008 Republican National Convention, he was charged with misdemeanor unlawful assembly in St. Paul, Minn…
Schwenkler received $500 in November 2008 to walk door-to-door in support of Democrat Mollie Cullom, who lost her race to Republican state Rep. David Balmer of Centennial.
Waak, who was not involved with the group that paid Schwenkler, said she’s never heard of the suspect and pointed out that just because he canvassed “doesn’t mean he’s a good Democrat.”
Schwenkler was one of dozens of paid canvassers bankrolled by the Colorado Citizens’ Coalition, a political 527 committee funded by labor groups and well-known, wealthy liberal donors.
In those disclosures, Schwenkler’s address is listed as Derailer Bicycle Cooperative, a free community bicycle collective that operates just around the corner from the Democratic headquarters. Multiple volunteers at the collective declined to discuss Schwenkler, though they said he was affiliated with the group.
Balmer said he suspects the vandalism might have been aimed at making the GOP look bad.
“This sounds like the type of Democratic tactic from the left fringe trying to make Republicans look mean-spirited,” Balmer said. “In this case, it blew up in their face. He was caught red-handed.”

Republican Chairman Dick Wadhams has condemned the act and said he doesn’t believe the Democratic Party had anything to do with it. But he said Waak’s suggestion that the vandalism was somehow connected to the health care debate was appalling.
“It’s impugning anybody who is exercising their free speech and opposing the president’s proposal,” he said.
Denver Westworld Blog disagrees that it was a Democrat ploy:
Could it be that Democrats conspired to smash their own headquarters in an attempt to frame Republicans? No, no, Schwenkler was probably a conservative mole who had infiltrated liberal causes in order to one day spring forth with an evil plan to, uh… break some windows.
But both ideas are wrong — because the suspect is not a Republican or a Democrat. Rather, Schwenkler is a local transgendered anarchist who also goes by the name “Ariel Attack.”
