Sen. Jim DeMint to Pres. Obama: Stop Speaking in Generalities & False Promises on ObamaCare, DEFEND the Bill (video)

Pres. Obama will be making a speech tonight, in front of the joint session of Congress, on ObamaCare. Sen. Jim DeMint takes the president to task on health care reform in this FOX interview with Greta van Susteren.
Sen. DeMint said he’s happy that the American people have been standing up and demanding that we discuss and analyze this health care monstrosity before passing it. He feels this is an important “make or break” move for our country and is concerned about the expansion of government that will be a result of ObamaCare. Sen. DeMint wants the president to stop the sweet-talking politician-campaigning rhetoric and actually defend and explain, with specifics, various elements of his socialized health care bill. He spoke forcefully, not giving Obama any wiggle room. Greta also wondered about the “line by line” scrutiny Obama promised on this bill… on ANY bill that crossed his desk, and why that repeated promise hasn’t happened yet.
Sen. DeMint also discusses former Gov. Sarah Palin’s active involvement in health care reform and how she’s been pushing back on the rush to pass the bill before reviewing it. He expressed his appreciation for her being such an active opponent against the bill to force it to be examined more closely by Congress.

Kudos to Sen. DeMint for adhering to the principles of our founding fathers and for being an advocate for smaller government. A patriotic conservative… a rarity in Congress.
Question to Obama: Will you be addressing the health insurance fines that are in the ObamaCare bill? Families won’t just be fined $3,800 for failing to purchase health insurance. They’ll be fined $3,800 for failing to buy the type of health insurance the government wants them to purchase. Can you explain THAT, Mr. President?
