Congressman Pete Stark (D-California) lashes out at those whom he rules, er, serves

Many elected officials have forgotten they were elected by their constituents, that they are not royalty or rock stars. California congressmen and senators seem more hostile as of late, lashing out and maligning their constituents.

Congressman Pete Stark, Democrat from California, is this week’s tyrannical king of them all.

…California Democratic Congressman Pete Stark has had a history of saying some pretty interesting things to folks who disagree with him, but this one may take the cake. During a town hall meeting at a senior center, a man upset over health care reform said: “Mister Congressman, don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.” To which Stark responded: “I wouldn’t dignify you by peeing on your leg, it wouldn’t be worth wasting the urine.”

When a second angry attendee accused Stark of lying about health care reform, Stark added: “Whether you think I’m a liar or not, I still want to get your input — and I’ll make up how I’m gonna lie about it after I get it.”

What a jerk.

And Democrats in Congress are demanding that Rep. Joe Wilson apologize again, but not this nasty congressman who spews disrespect all over his constituents?

Here’s another attack on the American people, posted by VotingFemale Speaks!: Maxine Waters calls All Tea Party Protesters Homosexuals in her Latest Attack on Free Speech First off, this shouts from the roof tops that Waters, a liberal Democrat congresswoman FROM CALIFORNIA (of course), thinks homosexuals are inhuman, they are despicable, and this is the very worst term she could summon up to insult the approximately 2 million people who attended the March on Washington over the weekend and any number of other tea parties and protests. Never mind that heterosexuals attended these events… I know this because they had children with them. Lots of soccer moms and hockey moms and football dads attend these protests. I’m sure a good number of gays attended, but Waters has tossed aside the race card and is now waving the homophobe card to attempt to smear and malign all protesters. This is heinous and wrong on SO MANY levels. Waters also believes all conservatives are racist… this, from an elected official: Mad Maxine: Conservatives should be “investigated” for “racist” views

This anti-gay, bitchy, statist, hate-filled ignoramus NEEDS TO GO. Californians, are you taking notes?

…The ethics committee did not indicate what allegations it is examining involving Waters, but a series of news reports earlier this year questioned the California lawmaker’s role in the decision to provide $12 million in federal bailout funds to OneUnited Bank, where her husband, Sidney Williams, had served on the board and owned a minimum of $500,000 in stock in 2007…

It’s reprehensible that Democrat congressional electeds are behaving so badly. This emerging pattern of insulting voters, getting their panties all in a knot, especially in California but other states as well, is becoming more troubling. These people have let power go to their heads. They have forgotten why they were elected and by whom. They believe they are superior to the people who voted them into office. After being inspired by the 9/12 March on Washington protest, I looked through my blog archives. I felt it was time to dust off some of the more memorable Democrat embarrassments and bullying episodes.
